what's inteesting is that CK managed to score a 50 in the 2nd inng. And he was the only one to cross 50 in that inng .... At 61 (from what's said in the OP) PS he also bowled 27 overs to pick up 3 wkts

Chanderpaul might achieve this feat, if he stays active for another 3 years on the domestic circuit. His son is presently playing for Guyana & WI Under-19s. :nice:

Didn't Chris & papa Cairns play together for NZ? :hmmm:
Lance Cairns played his last match for NZ in 1985 whereas Chris first played for NZ in 1989. Lance played his last List A for Northern Districts in 1988 and Chris scored his maiden FC century for Northern Districts in the same year. But I don't think they ever took the field together.

Still no match for Raja Sir Maharaj Singh who captained the Bombay Governor's XI against a touring Commonwealth XI at the age of 72 in 1950. Coming in to bat at No.9, he edged Jim Laker for 3 and one run later, was caught at first slip off the same bowler. He took no part in the game after the first day and Maharaja of Patiala captained the side in his absence. Laker was 44 years younger than the man he dismissed. And losers like Martin Crowe try to make a club level comeback at the age of 48 and get retired hurt after 3 deliveries. :giggle: Raja Sir Maharaj Singh was the real rockstar. :hysterical:

Pretty damn interesting scorecard. Thanks for sharing Gambit.
It shows how amateur and poor the standard of cricket was back then, nothing more interesting than that.
