thats the thing.thier batting is already thin n they depleted it further.Cooper n Chavan also provide batting depth to them.we had Chandila batting at 7 yesterday. a
Yep, batting's thin once Watto or Rahane is dismissed unless Hodge fires.
agree about Shah.maybe they need to have RD opening n Watto in MO too.
Binny's roles is to hit out so why not open with him and let him go nuts in the first 6 overs & unless their is a collapse RD can sit out.

Hard luck. It was a batting paradise. Rahane, Yagnik, Dravid's slow bating cost them the match. Copper bowled full toss after full toss every over, pathetic bowling by him. He bowled like off radar Shaun Tait with 20 KPH less pace. They need to bring Fidel Edwards in.

Any team would have taken 185. It's their bowling and their freebies deliveries which cost them. Anyways, cannot think too much from that loss. They tried their hardest but got beaten by a champion side. That's how they should think. Their own planning was great but it was the execution especially in their bowling which let them down. Although, credit should be given to CSK for making their bowling look poor.

Where did I only blame batting? Batting was part of it. You exclude Watson and Binny, all played very slow. Cooper and Trivedi bowled some real freebies.

Good performance by them yesterday. Watson is as good as Gayle and that's their major strength this year. They deserve a lot of credit and every season have proved better than expected. However, they have the same issues as last season, their death bowling. And perhaps the poor form of Rahane is another major concern. He has failed to build on his IPL 2012 platform really.

This thread seems very quiet. RR deserves more mentions. Today's game is very important for RR. Their record against RCB at home has been poor and always at the end of season, it's this fixture which could have made the difference.
