Trichromatic Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Allowing Eng to win even a single test match is a loss itself' date=' IMHO. We should do what the Paki's did to Eng.[/quote'] India hasn't won more than 2 test in a series even at HOME in last 15 years and with weakest Indian team we are expecting them to win all matches. A series win should be good result for a no 5 team playing against no 2 team in world. Has India ever won 4 matches even it's history of cricket?

Stan AF Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Ok then i will take 2-0 :haha:. :two_thumbs_up: India hasn't won more than 2 test in a series even at HOME in last 15 years and with weakest Indian team we are expecting them to win all matches. vvvslaxman Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 To whitewash a series you need a bowler who is at the top of his game with good support. Kumble was like that in the mid 90s. England was clueless against him. We don't have a leggie to support which is a sad thing. They play a big part in Test matches.
Trichromatic Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 It's all Ashwin's fault :hitler: yeah and that was no 1 team against no 7 team at HOME. :giggle:
Sidhoni Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 yeah and that was no 1 team against no 7 team at HOME. :giggle: We weren't No .1 back then IIRC. Didn't we lose no.1 after touring Eng?
kruiser Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Zaheer is horribly out of form, bowling filth in all formats and can't buy wickets. Yadav will only help them to ease the pressure by giving boundary every over. Batting Openers - worst in world with this kind of form No 4 - Anderson, Finn and Broad will bombard him with full length fast deliveries on off. Finn will get him most of the time with 90mph full delivery. 1 wicketkeeper - who can fluke few innings. Non-test standard no 6. So we would rely on 2 inform batsmen who have just started their test life. England is clearly stronger team and they have already beaten this mediocre team badly last year. Fully Agree!!! I am still hopeful of a miracle - but that is what it will need to be. A miracle. England look settled and thoroughly professional. Our batsmen will not let a session go without loosing 2 wickets at the minimum! Hope I am proven wrong! :nervous:
Trichromatic Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 We weren't No .1 back then IIRC. Didn't we lose no.1 after touring Eng? Yeah, then no 3 team against no 7 and still we didn't manage to win all test matches.
Yoda-esque Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I cannot remember the last time SRT,Gambhir,Viru,MSD were in form  could be a drawn series
King Tendulkar Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 The nuances of playing in India are just not with england. Indians know it inside out. 2 rookies in Pujara and Kohli will make themsleves house hold names and have break through series. Tendulkar will silence all. Our spinners will wreak havoc and Zak will shut people up, he is class and will show everyone the master of swing in Indian conditions. England have rookie opener who will expose englands middle order. England will be baffled by spin. Swann will be raped and smacked out of attack, once their premier spinner is taking apart and proved useles england will have nothing else to fall back on, as you can' t win in india with a pace attack. Also half of the england team or wimps and will start missing home and the local pub and slu@ts. They may not get full blown tresthoick but will get it 30 to 40% which will effect their perfomances and make them go in downward spiral especially after the 1st test loss. KP will add to demoralising atmosphere by strutting around like a peacock, cos he knows india inside out after spending so much time there and being lauded by indians for his IPL connections, he will wind up the insular rest of them. Also am sure a few of them will get delhi belly and start pining for home, as they get more unwell both physically and mentally.
King Tendulkar Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Also without their chums from the sky commentary team there and the lack of barmy army which always is for england in India. This will add to the gloom and negativity. Cook is also rookie skipper and will be exposed with his tactical naivety. Also presure of captaincy will effect his batting, espcially after 1st loss. They claim he does not sweat, he will do in this series! Win the 1st test and england will surrender the rest of the games.
Number Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Where are merger mods when you need them the most ..:P
GautiMaan Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Mental,Physical and Pathological disintegration predicted here
saneindian Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 The situation is quite similar to the 2006 Ind-Eng series..huge controversies going on with Ganguly's ouster, Chappel vs the team, Sehwag and Bhajji out of form, a captain who did not look in control, Tendulkar battling for form post his return from an injury.. Despite all this, the consensus was we will wallop England, in the end, Eng gave us a scare and thrashed us at Mumbai in the 3rd test..will not be surprised to see a similar result in this series as well

gaurav92 Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 They will come well prepared and will be itching to go. Nothing less than a 4-0 will heal our wounds

Trichromatic Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 They will come well prepared and will be itching to go. Nothing less than a 4-0 will heal our wounds Nothing will change 8-0. But a series win 1-0, 2-0, 2-1 whatever will good performances by youngsters will be great for team.
cowboysfan Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 They will come well prepared and will be itching to go. Nothing less than a 4-0 will heal our wounds 4-0? are you kidding? we will be lucky to square the series.both the openers and sachin should not be playing this series and our fast bowlers are iffy too.We really need turners to win this series and i dont know if thats possible in the present climate.

This team lost to even to Swann at Oval last year. We don't have luxuries of devastating Sehwag, Sachin, Dravid and Laxman to play well on rank turners.
