someone Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Lol' date=' we have better spinners, Bhajji actually is not even qualified to be called a spinner, just a medium pacer. When was the last time he spun a ball?[/quote'] To be fair, I would argue that at least over the last 10 years, we did not have any quality spinners. That includes Kumble as well, just check his stats. I would rather say Kumble was the best out of all options available So now suddenly to demand a quality spinner does not work as we never not produced one. And I would still say Harbhajan is the best out of all options available today.
vvvslaxman Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Bhaji>Ashwin or any other Indian spinner atm' date=' been rubbish lately. Will return after next Ranji /thread[/quote'] Ojha, Rahul will come ahead of them. Bhajji is a wicketless wonde who often screws the team with his wide darting. He has been useless for a while.
CSK Fan Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Name 1 who can take 400 wkts Name one who can single handedly get ATG Aussie side out... EXACTLY He's chit atm but he will be back after next Ranji, played too much cricket affected his game Actually anyone who has played enough matches as Bhajji can take 400 wickets, even Powar's average is on par with him
India-KXIP fan Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Actually anyone who has played enough matches as Bhajji can take 400 wickets' date=' even Powar's average is on par with him[/quote'] If current Indian spinners played as much as Bhaji they would average 35+, I honestly cant see Ashwin or Rahul Sharma (T20 specialists) maintaining anything below 35 over 100 matches Playing too much cricket ruined Bhaji
Raghav_12 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Just watched the video of the Bhajji-Munaf-Sangkkara incident, my first video of this IPL. I am surprised that even after such behaviour Bhajji and Munaf got away so lightly. They were literally threatening umpires and bullied them in calling for third umpire, Absolutely Disgraceful. But then anything goes in tamasha cricket.
velu Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 If current Indian spinners played as much as Bhaji they would average 35+, I honestly cant see Ashwin or Rahul Sharma (T20 specialists) maintaining anything below 35 over 100 matches Playing too much cricket ruined Bhaji Bhajjis record in the last 3 or 4 years is quite bad ( but he improved his batting leaps and bounds ).. he was more of a defensive bowler bowling darts these days ( even UV took more wickets than bhajji in the WC ).. and dont judge our other bowers so early , none of our spinners get a chance to bowl in indian or spin conditions.. mishra , ojha and ashwin all bowled poorly in wi , eng and aus and their record is not worse than bhajji's..
J P K Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Actually anyone who has played enough matches as Bhajji can take 400 wickets' date=' even Powar's average is on par with him[/quote'] nothing like that bhajji was good bowler in the past he had survived so many years with his varaition got exposed only in the last 2-3 years but look at ashwin has bowled only for 2 years and batsman have started reading his varations already
Mariyam Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Bhajjis record in the last 3 or 4 years is quite bad ( but he improved his batting leaps and bounds ).. he was more of a defensive bowler bowling darts these days ( even UV took more wickets than bhajji in the WC ).. and dont judge our other bowers so early , none of our spinners get a chance to bowl in indian or spin conditions.. mishra , ojha and ashwin all bowled poorly in wi , eng and aus and their record is not worse than bhajji's.. What an anti MI post!!!! When you develop an understanding of cricket as profound as mine, you will understand where you've gone wrong with your analysis. You are looking at things at a very micro level. Take a birds eye view. Zoom out. Bhajji is much more than just a world class spinner. His other influential attributes on the cricket field include- 1) Hammering sixes in the slog overs. He's done that time and again. 2) Motivating the rest of the team with aggressive captaincy. 3) Attacking opposition players ( Sreesanth, Symonds) and ruining their confidence. 4) Intimidating umpires with OTT appealing and bullying. Have you noticed how he manages to out fox every captain out there with his innovative decision making. They can never guess what his next move is going to be. When they expect a Malinga over, it is Pollard/ Franklin who bowl. In fact no one can predict his next move, not even him. Bhajji is the complere cricketer. Which other player has such an assortment of talent? Definitely not Ashwin. :P
vishalvirsingh Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 U r right now Bhajji does not continue to be a genuine Spinner......he cannot afford to compete with the likes of Rahul Sharma Ashwin Ojha murli kartik and even Piyush- I feel Iqbal and Chawan are also bowling well so there must be 6 Spinners better than him purely as Spinners - One has to give him brownie points for his batting and other skills else he is probably the 7th India Spinner today.
BERGKAMP Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 what a pussy. his team is defending a small target and into the 12th over he still has not bowled a single ball. surely as the skipper you would want to take responsibility and lead from the front. no this coward goes into hiding, because he knows sehwag will shred him into pieces. best thing selectors ever did was drop this turd.
GautiMaan Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Thinks himself as Mike Brearly playing only as kaptaan:finger:
VRV Singh Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 He is not going to bowl at all Mashallah specialist batsman
velu Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Bhajji chickened out. No confidence on his darts. :hysterical:
Pagalpanti Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Bhajji chickened out. No confidence on his darts. :hysterical: I thought people said he was a fighter, he has never say die attitude which current spinners don't have? :giggle: Harbhajan is not even fit for his IPL side.
Ram Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Terrific spell from the captain there. Just when his team needed him to put his hand up and turn in a stellar bowling performance defending only 92, he really came to the party like a true leader should. :nice:
