Pathetic selections. This shows that the selection has now become more of a popularity contest than anything else. Not even one youngster in T20s when the format demands fresh blood with us going with likes of Yuvi (out of action for more than a year and not match fit), Harbhajan, Chawla etc. In Tests don't really know what Laxman is doing in the team and what purpose his selection serves.

It was good to find his name in the list of probables for the World Twenty20. The selectors have done the right thing because if Yuvraj gets fit in the meantime, he’d walk into the team. Chawla, Harbhajan and Yuvraj's selection proves the selection of the team goes beyond performance related criteria. Can't wait to see Srikkanth out of the chief selector role. That guy is incompetent to say the least and doesn't even have the balls to explain his own picks.

Totally agree - Vinne Koomar has performed well for us in shorter formats. Was expecting him to be named in squad. His super phaast slow deliveries kanfuse all batsmen.

Rave party cannot be the reason else he would not have been named in the A squad for NZ. He surely has been dropped for non performance.
