We are at the mercy of our bowlers.. .. and unless that dynamic changes wherein bowlers are as effective or more effective than over all batting.. we will always be LESS than 50-50 with chances to win anything. I agree with you but I am not sure our batting is up to mark.

Right now he is being wasted deep down in the line up. If he was played earlier and he did decently that could have freed up yuvi raina and co to more easily put up a much higher score.

This t20 team is by far the worst team selection I have seen over the past 5 years. Srikant bulldog really signed off in style i dare say. But as I said, even this pathetic team can win games batting second with the hitters we have (just need them to come good)

The rest others are fine![/quote'] i dont think they are that much of an issue especially dhoni who after the abuse he got in the nz defeat seems to have taken things on board. All i am saying is lets not panic too much. In 2011 as well we started the tournament with a less than impressive victory over Bangladesh and draw against england and lost to south africa. Neither did we put aside the Dutch or Netherlands. 23 run victory is not a close call by any means. Its not exactly a crushing win either. But its not that bad. Yes the Afghani's did drop a catches. But while batting i saw many edges which flew of their bats. In 2009 and 2010 we went into the WC winning warm ups and crushing our opponents in the group stages only to flake out in the super 8. Maybe the positive to note, is that flaws have been exposed quite early. Sehwag Gambhir and Zaheer will know they are under pressure. Ashwin was under the pressure and has responded the the 3 games since. Even i was for dropping Ashwin after the game v NZ. I still think we should open with sehwag and kohli. Bring in Tiwary or Harbhajan.

I think somehow as a unit.. most often than not, our batting department comes up with above average performance eventually. When Viru fails, Gauti performs.. once in a while Viru performs.. and if both don't, then either two of the remaining Kohli, Dhoni, Yuvraj, Rohit.. do perform. I am very very skeptical about our bowling.... and honestly, I don't see an end in sight to our bowling woes. We are too batting heavy and bowling light to the point that we are severely unbalanced.

Btw.. losing in this WC wouldnt give too much heartache.. its a 20/20, toss up tournament.. just have fun with it.. I am more worried about England coming to India..
