JourneyMan Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Can't say enough about this man, and I'm not even a CSK fan. Every time the situation gets tight, even if he's been performing poorly, he steps it up when it's most required. I was reminded of the world cup final today! B->
vvvslaxman Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I think dhoniconda term is used when he defends not when he chases.. Yes.. they performed a dhoniconda on themselves before pulling it off lol

Zelig Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 CSK did well to restrict KKR to 158. Fine spin/slow bowling and decent captaincy ensured we were not chasing a huge score like RCB did one week before. :agree:
Ram Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 You dont make 3 finals, win 2 editions back to back and a win a CLt20 tournament without being good. Dhoni may not be as good as he once was, but he is still one of the most valuable assets to have in your team.

KKR batted piss poor after Gambhir fell led by kallu mian. Any half decent side would have posted 180 from that position especially against this **** bowling attack

asterix Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Saw a new shot of Dhoni.. That Overhead Volleyball Spike shot or the Badminton shot.. :hatsoff:
Zap_Brannigan Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 CSK has been making the same mistakes they have been making for 2-3 years. Always leaving stuff till its too late. With the batting it has, it should have finished games before the 20th over. But its almost as if everyone who comes in before the 16th over, try to anchor till the last 4 overs.

According to GG, it was a tough pitch to bat on at the death overs. Eden always has been when the bowl gets old. CSK was lucky that Shakib or Abdullah wasn't in the XI.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 i saw the highlights, dhongi baba bowled spinners at gambhir for most of the first 10 overs...that was a major brain fart. luckily for him, the squeeze worked with the older ball, helped by some idiotic batting by kolkata's middle order. these tactics are alright in the IPL, but fail at international level. altho with the next world t20 being held in SL, we could see dhongi-baba jadoo being effective yet again he still sucks as a t20 batsman, btw. rayudu should be keeping for india in t20s.
