Muloghonto Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Poor illiterate people do not get why doles are not good for them. For most of them, the instant reward and lack of understanding of the process that leads to wealth makes it the obvious and only solution. IMO congress needs to focus more on economic development and far less on communal harmony and legal rights of the minorities and all that. That stuff is a bit overdone sand a bit stale. What Indians need are decisive economic and environmental solutions. BJP has successfully depicted it ass its central agenda while congress still goes between economics and communal harmony as its central agendas.
BeautifulGame Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Its not even that bad if they are still headed by a Gandhi family member. The bigger issue is giving independent authority to state leaders .Most of the state leaders are remote controlled by Gandhi's who have no clue about state politics and decisions taken by them without taking local leaders or local issues . The Gandhi family is too scared of strong state leaders taking control and thats their biggest issue IMO. The reason why congress struggle badly is most states once they are out of power

Sachin=GOD Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Narendra Modi: man of the masses Modi, implicated in a massacre in 2002 while chief minister of Gujarat, is poised to become India’s next prime minister. Is he a dangerous neo-fascist, as some say, or the strongman reformer that this country of 1.2 billion people craves? http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/05/narendra-modi-man-masses?utm_content=buffercbbcc&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
someone Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 ^^^^ What's the use of such article when first, they have no respect for Indian legal system and next, got the key facts all wrong. Number of muslims killed incorrectly, no mention of Hindus being killed, no mention of the train burnings, no mention of inquires findings, plus no mention of how the court already rejected their arguments. And also no mention of other riots in our country, or are they secular things and thus accepted? Modi's clean chit stands true in our constitution and as a sovereign country, we do not need other people questioning our system. It's repeating the same boring old nonsense.

What's up with yank journolists and modi? The US has supported and aided our enemies in the previous wars. They never gave a feck on genocides on SL, Rwanda etc., but they worry too much about 2002. Shameless congis bend down to then like never before and lot Indian human resources are pouring into amreeka with begging bowl, ignoring the country. There is some huge agenda behind these anti-modi articles by amreekan media

Texan Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 ^ Congress won't die but it seriously needs to come out of the control of the family.... Congress won't survive without the family. They will squabble within themselves and break up the party. That is also exactly why a BJP win (if exit polls are right) is so significant. For the first time in independent India's history, there is a credible national opposition party against the Congress and one that has stood the test of time and not got divided unlike opposition parties in the past (Janata Party, Janata Dal). There were expectations that after the Vajpayee-Advani era was over, BJP would disintegrate and get divided into factions like other parties before it - Janata Party, Janata Dal. But, BJP has proved that they are capable of running a democratic organization that rewards it's high performers and pick leaders.

Sachin=GOD Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 BJP had some really good state-level leaders. Congress has none. Thats because the Nehru dynasty has not allowed any big state leaders to grow.

hhunaeh Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Modi must deliver on Ram temple: RSS leader A senior ideologue of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) says he expects a government headed by Narendra Modi to make some forward movement on the three issues of concern to it — repealing Article 370, building a Ram temple in Ayodhya and introducing a Uniform Civil Code. “There should be some initiative from the new government on the issues of Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Uniform Civil Code and repealing Article 370,” RSS ideologue M.G. Vaidya told The Hindu. This is his “personal” view, he added. He felt the BJP lost the 2004 Lok Sabha election because these core issues were put on the backburner. Claiming that the BJP alone would get 230 to 240 seats in the new Lok Sabha, Mr. Vaidya appeared confident that a “stable” NDA government would take office. He said the three issues could be resolved within the parameters of the Constitution. Article 370 was a temporary arrangement, the Civil Code was one of the Directive Principles and the presence of a temple beneath the demolished structure in Ayodhya had been proved, he argued. Asked if such expectations would hamper the functioning of a possible BJP government, Sudhir Pathak, former editor of RSS daily Tarun Bharat said, “I don’t think so. The current RSS leadership and BJP leadership are of the same age group and all these issues will be tackled much more tactfully than was done at the time of the previous BJP government.” Mr. Pathak also felt that a Modi government would take some steps on implementing the core concerns of the RSS. “But it is going to be a coalition government with regional parties, and these regional players will have their own compulsions,” said Mr. Pathak. However, he added that a “strong leader” like Mr. Modi could handle these problems. Vikas Jambhulkar, who teaches Political Science at Nagpur University, felt the Sangh Parivar would certainly pressure a possible BJP-led government to take some initiative on these three core issues. “They [sangh Parivar] may even go on their own and try to fast-track these issues, but it will be interesting to see if Modi budges under this pressure. But the dangers of a communal flare-up will always be there now,” Professor Jambhulkar told The Hindu.
