bajrang Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Its still more difficult to use chopsticks for eating rice :mad: it boggles my mind that asians for all their superior intellect and technological advancement chose the most inefficient way of eating rice.

I used to room with a fobby Chinese guy from mainland china and that ***er would put some dead fish in a small bowl, add small quantity of rice, throw in some soy sauce and eat that sh1t with great pleasure for an hr. Indians would inhale that rice in 2 gulps

It's just insufficient even for me (I am quite lean) for a stomach fill. I don't really know how they live with on it. :idunno:

Indians would inhale that rice in 2 gulps i thought this also, cant think of any other reason for why they chose to eat in those tiny little bowl with most awkward tool possible. but on the plus side its keeping their obesity in check, when ever i see asians on tv (games show, news reports) every grown Asian male/female no matter whats their age is , has the build of 16 years old Indian boy/girl.

He doesnt let us feed. It is frustrating as he spends more time picking up the food than eating. Other day he was trying for 5 minutes to exactly pick up a pea. In day care they make them eat with spoon and fork even when they are as old as 1 year.

Btw using water gives better hygiene and is also more environment friendly. Oh Oprah can also order this water jet from amazon (yes in amreeka) like I did :woot:

When we gave him Kerala Parotta and Beef Roast, it was amusing to see him making a mess of it with a knife and fork. He eventually started using his hands and continued to do so except when eating rice. Many of our Indian food cannot be eaten properly with spoon, fork or Knife. You have to see an expert chopsticks user. They can handle food in whatever way you can do with your fingers and may be more.
