Guys who is figuring in top 10 rankings of ODI tests and ODIs 1) Sangkkara (1 Test) (4 ODI) (9 T20) Others 2) ABDV (5 test) (2 ODI) 3) Amla (3 test) (1 ODI) 4) Clarke (7 test) (8ODI) Nanga is a good batsman. But a poor t20 player despite rankings. Very slow. Dilshan had his moments for couple of years in Tests. For me ABDV and Chris Gayle are stand outs. Amla is yet to prove his credentials in T20.

Well SRT's Test and odi credentials were never in any doubt and as his IPL performances have shown he would have been a decent player in T20s. The only criticism of his T20 performances I can make is that he doesn't go all-out in the power plays and will need a player like Sehwag on the other end to score quickly in power-plays. That might be a problem in big chases but at his peak he would have been more than handy.

Actually the thread title says players who "excel" not "may have excelled". I agree with you though - Had T20 come earlier he may have mastered it as well. Currently, he's a damn good player but I don't think he "excels" in that format or he hasn't aced it like Tests or ODIs for that matter.
