Needforspeed Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 vinay is better than any indian bowler at this moment :thefinger: Yeah, best way to look better than the other bowlers is not to play at all. So VK, Bhajji and Sreesanth are all better :giggle:
J P K Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Yeah' date=' best way to look better than the other bowlers is not to play at all. So VK, Bhajji and Sreesanth are all better :giggle:[/quote'] that`s damn true :cantstop: but don`t put vk along with bhajji and shreesanth :wall: vk is in his league of his own :proud:
Cricket Tragic Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Rohit Sharma is the best talent India has ever had - Gambhir http://www.espncricinfo.com/sri-lanka-v-india-2012/content/current/story/574501.html The guy has tailunt but this is taking it to a new level.
ravishingravi Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 I believe so. Now, his position cannot be justified. Although purely on a gut level, I would back this guy and make him come at No. 4 next game. In his defence he has got some great deliveries this series early in his innings. I just have the feeling that if he clicks he will be an all time great. It is tough to back him at this stage. But I am glad Gambo is doing it.
Clarke Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Yea, Rahane & Pujara are complete hacks in comparison :wall: Tailunt doesn't win matches, runs and wickets do that.
Vilander Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Rohit is talented alrite, but what wrong has Tiwary done other than scoring a hundred in his last match ?
ravishingravi Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Tiwari I don't think is international calibre. Rahane is good, yes. But not sure if he plays well in middle order
Number Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Rohit Sharma is one of the best talents that India has ever had," Gambhir said. http://www.sify.com/sports/india-left-with-work-to-do-despite-win-gambhir-news-cricket-mh3mfkhbghb.html http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/series-tournaments/india-in-sri-lanka/top-stories/India-left-with-work-to-do-despite-win-Gautam-Gambhir/articleshow/15250820.cms http://www.indiansportsnews.com/from-newspapers/16202-rohit-sharma-is-one-of-the-best-talents-that-india-has-ever-had-gautam-gambhir.html
rkt.india Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Gambhir pointed out Rohit's Man-of-the-Series performances against West Indies at home and away last year. "There was a time against West Indies when neither Viru [Virender Sehwag] nor I were getting runs. It was Rohit who was single-handedly winning the games for us. Let's not single out. Everyone should back him because I see him scoring a lot of runs in the future and he could be one of the great players of Indian cricket."

Slight exaggeration don't you think? He might well score in the next game if he plays but questions about consistency will remain. I like the guy's batting btw. Tiwari I don't think is international calibre. Rahane is good' date=' yes. But not sure if he plays well in middle order[/quote'] Agree with you about Tiwary. I don't rate him either but surely he deserves a chance given that he scored a ton in his last game. Rahane can open and GG can move to 4 or Rahane bats 3 and Kohli at 4.

It's only the fanboy articles that are rubbish.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 he has the full range of shots. not many batsmen out there are as 'complete'. strong first class record as well, so the reputation is deserved. and i would rather trust the opinion of cricketers that watch him every day than the fickle **** chucking indian public. he just has no idea on how to build an innings and rotate strike, and he has no confidence. i think its a more of a mental thing with him. i was amazed to know that he averages 47 at number 5. maybe thats where he should always play?
JaFanatic Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 he was just unlucky in the last match the kind of yorker that he faced can get any new batsman out on that kinda pressure situation but still no excuse he has failed miserably in the recent matches

Played all his games vs WI at 5 which explains the high average. Poor record at 5 against most other teams.
rkt.india Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Played all his games vs WI at 5 which explains the high average. Poor record at 5 against most other teams. WI have a better bowling attack than India and SL.
Vilander Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 WI in india is < SL in SL , i think Tiwary needs a look in.
JourneyMan Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Hopefully India win the 4th ODI and the series, and then play some of the bench warmers in the 5th game. Move Rohit up to 3 or even as an opener, bring in Rahane and Tiwary. Give Gambhir and Kohli a break.
jj_28 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I so want Rohit to succeed because Rohit, Raina and Kohli can be and should be our next generation of superstars but talent alone is never enough at the highest level, a player has to be mentally strong as well hopefully Rohit will fulfill his talent in the future he's still only 25
zep1706 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Does anyone else think that Rohit has a serious problem of playing away from his body?
