psrb4u Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I don't think that his such a poor performance will make him a place in the squad.
Sooda Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Gambhir, Rahane, Pujara, Tendulkar, Sehwag, Kohli, MSD, Ashwin, Ojha, Umesh Zaheer Rohit, Dinda, A. Spinner, O. Pener
diga Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I just hope that he goes away either to South Africa or Australia to play club cricket, if BCCI doesnt allow people to play in English county ckt and improve his shot selection & escape from the constant focus on him. BTW, I have heard of his binge drinking habits? Is that true?
cowboysfan Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 He should play in the tests,he can play.at his own pace in the test matches.
Number Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 These JamODIs are inconsequential. I'd still drop Laxman and play Rohit in the XI.
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I would do the same as above but VVS will not be dropped. He should be in the team but definately should not play in place of Pujara, who must be given the number 3 spot. Is he on a bad run or at 26 years old should have been playing at his peak by now? I think he should be given a run in tests as he has proved in ODI's he cant play under pressure and is our most talented youngster.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 These JamODIs are inconsequential. I'd still drop Laxman and play Rohit in the XI. Spot on :two_thumbs_up: My team for kiwis... Sehwag Gambhir Pujara Tendulkar Kohli Rohit Dhoni Ashwin Zak Umesh Ojha 12th man: Rahane Hopefully the youngsters do well and when Tendulkar hangs up his boots Rahane to replace him.
Vilander Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Test and ODI's should not be confused. Rohit should get his spot.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 ^ Not before Pujara though. True. For me the depth chart for the batsmen is... 1. Pujara 2. Rohit 3. Rahane 4. Tiwary, Raina 5. Mukund, Shikhar Dhawan
vamos_rafa Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 True. For me the depth chart for the batsmen is... 1. Pujara 2. Rohit 3. Rahane 4. Tiwary, Raina 5. Mukund, Shikhar Dhawan I agree with the top 3, but I am still not convinced with Tiwary. He needs to play a bit more IMO. Of whatever little I have seen of him, I am not convinced by his technique.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I agree with the top 3' date=' but I am still not convinced with Tiwary. He needs to play a bit more IMO. Maybe that Jharkhand opener (is it Ishank Jaggi?) may come out of nowhere and leapfrog the chart but at the moment Tiwary deserves to be at 4 after the usual suspects.
jusarrived Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 if the selectors are smart , he wont . Sharma has always been a confused player in ODI's ..but his approach for T20 and Tests is sorted .
Number Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I doubt it Pujara Raina will come first No way he should be selected. As much as I'm a fan of his attitude, but atm he doesn't deserve it. Even last season in Ranji, he did nothing special to be considered.
velu Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 i would take 42 year sachin over 25 year old Rohit  i would say rohit's commitment towards the game is not even50% of what sachin gives
Old guy Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 i would take 42 year sachin over 25 year old Rohit  i would say rohit's commitment towards the game is not even50% of what sachin gives :hmmm: but he plays all games :--D
velu Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 :hmmm: but he plays all games :--D nothing much will change if we play with 10 players instead of rohit.. even sir jaddu will do fancy haircuts to motivate the team .. after Dada era in 2005 , if i can relate 2 minute maggi noodle , then it has to be Rohit :orderorder:
