MechEng Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 The courage and hunger that they have shown today is remarkable. It is something you expect the No. 1 to show when they have to fight to protect their ranking. Inspite of beng down and out and against the odds in last day they have shown the bulldog spirit. Something Indians could have done much more of. Irrespective of result you have my respect for last day perfomance.:hatsoff: But I ll gloat when you lose.:icflove: Compare this to India's Mohali victory in 2010, and you will know which team plays BETTER under pressure.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 This was no 2-0 belting' date=' it was very neary 1-1, we coud have payed for the draw but didnt, this series no way compares to the thrashing India got[/quote'] Indians didn't lose at home the way English did :haha: And we all know what transpired when English had to play away as well :giggle:
putrevus Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Swann and Prior at no stage were going to win the match they just threw their bats around especially Swann after tea they had nothing to lose really, so don't ever think it was a close match. It reminded me of Perth test when Aussies last pair threw around their bats with nothing to lose and got close to the target but they never ever were going to win the match. When it came close we all saw what happened, it need more than luck to win like mohali. All pommie supporters don't gloat that it was a close match.
jairamesh Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Oh Don't you worry about "appreciation". Athers, Vaughn and Nasser Hussain will drown themselves in that. Expect from them plenty of: "Pushed them", "toe-to-toe", "the only team capable of", Athers has already started with pats on the backs.

Trichromatic Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Inspite of beng down and out and against the odds in last day they have shown the bulldog spirit. Something Indians could have done much more of. Irrespective of result you have my respect for last day perfomance.:hatsoff: But I ll gloat when you lose.:icflove: India did better job to defend rank 1 by winning 3 away series and 2 home series as no 1 unlike England who could win only 1 match away from home and lost a series 2-nil at home. You can see bulldog spirit from India when they won in Mohali, got back in series by winning 2nd test in SA after losing 1st by inning, drawing test by playing for 2 in NZ and saving test series in SL. All those were tough moments for the team, they not only fought but were successful in doing so.
Spiderguy252 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 This was no 2-0 belting' date=' it was very neary 1-1, we coud have payed for the draw but didnt, this series no way compares to the thrashing India got[/quote'] It's short-term euphoria - that Swann-Prior partnership. Let it sink in, and then you'll realize that England have been dismal away in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and now against South Africa - against whom they've completely surrendered at The Oval, and have been aptly dethroned at Lord's, of all places.
Pagalpanti Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Bumble ki g@@Nd mein daal pak rahi hain!!!!!! He's getting screwed in Twitter!!!! He's been the most modest of them all and neutral as well. Why attack him? Lol and this time any fake Nasser getting abuses? :haha:
King Tendulkar Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Here we go. Nasser "england should be proud of themselves" Stuffed 2-0 at home. Stuffed 3-0 in winter. Embaraasing
Spiderguy252 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Here we go. Nasser "england should be proud of themselves" Stuffed 2-0 at home. Stuffed 3-0 in winter. Embaraasing Ah well, can't expect much from a guy who averaged 35. Must have jizzed his pants when England beat Netherlands in the World Cup.
Cricketics Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Lol let these morons whine now. Even when they are about to lose 2nd test of the series, they started whining about how the series was not of 5 test. Saloh pahle 3 match mein se toh ek jeet lo.
CSK Fanatic Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 At home Harbhajan the batsmen is miles better than Swan can ever be in England. Harby can score 100s. OK I accept India was never worthy of no.1, but I am sure India w'd have never allowed visitors to humiliate 2-0 at home when they were no. 1.
King Tendulkar Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Waffling what a great pich!! Team is pants lets hype the pitche cos Lords finally produced a result!!!!
Trichromatic Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 He's been the most modest of them all and neutral as well. Why attack him? Lol and this time any fake Nasser getting abuses? :haha: Because many Indian internet warrior thinks that internet sites are borders and all non-Indians are enemies.
cowboysfan Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 **** england, just **** them.they would be bottom feeders without the imports.
Cricketics Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 They were exposed when they went to MIddle East and lost to Pakistan. Here they are exposed again. So much for being no. 1.
