The reason he is so successful is he has the hand eye co ordination and hand speed and touch of the best sub continent players, very disciplined, strong in the mind, hunger, also has the ability to play on bouncy and seaming conditions, that is where our players lack, Amla, Cook, Clarke are the best test batters in terms of form, scores, stats, class, KP, De Villiers, Virat, Pujara, Kallis, are great to watch too, Sachin should have retied long time back and is loosing his popularity and status .

If anyone cares to know, his average has been immensely boosted by matches against West Indies and other weak teams. In 10 matches against West Indies, he averages 90 and made 3 centuries. Against Australia his average is 30 in 17 matches with 1 century.
