Vibhash can you make this list including last cricketing season - Australia, West Indies (home + away), England tours included? Thanks

Clearly, Raina lacks the consistency of someone like Pujara or Kohli, as evidenced in the difference in their First Class and Test records. Mukund is a more curious case, he had an exceptional First Class season but since then failed to score any runs against England, West Indies and West Indies A. He is just 22 years old which is something he has on his side but he really needs to prove himself both against quality bowling and for the A team outside India. Perhaps we need to look to push Rahane to open next time Sehwag or Gambhir are unavailable for a series. It will be interesting to see how Yuvraj performs in the First Class season, if he is fit enough to take part.

Ok. I thought he might be out for a while since he wasn't physically cleared to play the bizarrely timetabled Duleep Trophy.

Pujara is one batsmen I am mightily impressed with also very calm collected, plays according to the situation and can play both formats very well and score big, also can be groomed for higher honors in leading the side, hopefully he can and has the ability to contribute like Kohli. Murali Vijay to me also has loads of potential and should be seriously looked at , wide array of strokes, confident against better bowlers, good technique, plays big innings, also did well in the limited opportunities earlier. Raina looks like will not make it as a test bat, Rohit I think has the talent and game to be a very good test batsmen, Saha also to me is the best keeper batsmen in India. Gambhir and Sehwag have not been playing well for a season but have the talent and also have done well and won games in the past and cannot be discarded.

I think someone young and accomplished like Rahane should be given a long time to accustom himself to Test cricket. Give him around two or three series, regardless of performance and then assess whether he is up to the level.

Definitely, and I think this should be the case for most new players in all formats. It's always going to take a while to get used to the big stage, and there's no point playing guys for one series and writing them off.

My test team for the coming season will look like Rahane Sehwag Pujara Sachin Kohli Rohit (please don't rip me!) MSD (no other choice) Ashwin Ojha Zaheer Umesh
I'd rather have Tiwary than Nohit.even Gambhir moving in middle order is an option
