This is true for every culture though. Humanity prevails in adversity. Oh of course Indians do help a lot in times of calamities but some people try to take advantage of such situations.

I am planning to go with him to Seaside Heights and help rebuild. I had done some volunteer work even during 9/11. The times calls for such efforts to help one another.

Most buildings dont have running water, because they have bombay-style water "tanki"s on the roof, and the pumps cant get the water up there without electricity. But if are in midtown, its almost as if nothing is wrong. NJ has a gas shortage like its some 3rd world country. Never thought this kind of thing would happen here - slow-paced restoration of utilities and gas shortages - i mean....
