The last time we did this routine with Hurricane Irene during 2010, we had about a few hours of moderate rainfall and 2 hours of power-loss and that is it. Lets hope it is not any worser this time.

Winds are picking up here in Central Jersey. Irene was largely benign in my area though there were hundreds of thousands of homes without power in Long Island, but somehow I get the feeling that this is going to be pretty bad.

Why the eff do these news networks put their reporters thru hell and ask them to cover these hurricanes? And nobody does this worse than CNN. The sad part is, the reporters are literally the only living souls outside now. :dontknow:

He has been at a stage in his career where he can sit in the confines of the studios and comment on things like most other senior reporters, but he is always out in the action whenever something like this happens. His coverage of Katrina was one the best pieces of journalism I've seen and I'm sure I'll see him standing on the shore with his trademark windcheater tomorrow.

Just got a mail from work that offices are closed Monday and most probably Tuesday, not surprising given that NYSE just announced that they are even shutting off electronic trading tomorrow and will be officially closed for the first time after 9/11 not a scheduled holiday.
