Crookbond Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Good riddance. However, this is like the death of a pawn in the game of chess.

anotherhawkeye Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Never liked the idea of hanging. That's my view. :finger:. A monster is dead. Pity it took so long...

Crookbond Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Don't deny repercussion on Sarabjit's mercy plea: Pak sources on Kasab hanging http://ibnlive.in.com/news/dont-deny-repercussion-on-sarabjits-mercy-plea-pak-sources-on-kasab-hanging/306575-56.html New Delhi: After hearing the news of the execution of Mumbai terror attack accused Ajmal Kasab in Pune's Yerwada jail, sources in the Pakistan President’s office on Wednesday said a repercussion could not be ruled out in the case of Sarabjit Singh, a death row prisoner in Pakistan. “We respect judicial process in India. We hope that everything is done under proper scrutiny. Our understanding says Indian President has jumped the queue in rejecting the mercy petition of Ajmal Kasab and till last minute it was under wrap. We don't deny any repercussion on Sarabjit’s pending mercy petition on this,” he said. Sarabjit, 49, was convicted and sentenced to death for alleged involvement in a string of bomb attacks that killed 14 people in Punjab in Pakistan in 1990.
Texy Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Did they release pics of his body? I mean what proof is there that he's dead other than CM's word? Kangress is capable of secretly taking him out of the country and give him safe passage in exchange for something.
surajmal Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Tukaram Omble - ASI who caught the bastard paki and died of bullet wounds in the process. Anyone still remember him? Bet the p-seculars didn't shed a tear and will be out in a jiffy crying bloody murder regarding capital punishment.
punjabi_khota Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Tukaram Omble - ASI who caught the bastard paki and died of bullet wounds in the process. Anyone still remember him? Bet the p-seculars didn't shed a tear and will be out in a jiffy crying bloody murder regarding capital punishment. Ridiculous comparison. One is a fallen soldier killed by enemy in combat, other is killed by order of a judge. But carry-on please.
beetle Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 The last few days have been good for India. Chaddha brothers,Kasab and the rest .
Raghav_12 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Well, Capital punishment in inhumane and I am more inclined to oppose that. However if it works as the detterent as many people claim than it can be justified. In reality, I have never seen any empirical study which shows that societies with frequent capital punishments exhibit lesser crime rates than other socities.
