Did they release pics of his body? I mean what proof is there that he's dead other than CM's word? Kangress is capable of secretly taking him out of the country and give him safe passage in exchange for something.
Conspiracy can be created out of anything - lets wait as for now.
Well' date=' Capital punishment in inhumane and I am more inclined to oppose that. However if it works as the detterent as many people claim than it can be justified. However, [b']I have never seen any empirical study which shows that societies with frequent capital punishments exhibit lesser crime rates than other socities.
I can name one country which has done that with improvements but it is more from observation than raw data.

You have serial killers/rapists, pedophiles, gang members and terrorists (of the peaceful people) walking free after serving at most a joke of a "life sentence" - 14yrs. And people wonder why every middle class person wants to flee this shithole.

He got a very humane death. He's lucky someone didn't shove a smoldering hot iron rod into his rectum and twisting it while he slowly died in pain as his intestines melted. He wasn't a human and deserved a dog's death.

But I believe, capital punishment can be justified only if it acts as deterrent by putting fear in psychology of criminals and terrorists. All I am saying is that I am not really sure if fear of capital punishment actually brings down crime rates.

You can be sure that little/no capital punishment actually encourages crimes of the horrible variety. Okay - a serial killer or a jihadist is psychologically a mess. So presence or lack of CP should have no effect. But Gang crimes (as well as politically motivated killings) and crimes against women and children will take a huge dip if Capital punishment becomes regular - and this probably accounts for majority of the crimes.

Same here. I feel a little sad because he was brainwashed as a teenager and how his poverty was used by the real bastards sitting cozy in pakiland.

Doubt whether its capital punishment alone which caused the dip in crime. Human psychology doesnt work that way. A person commiting a crime is not worried about what punishment he gets, he is only worried about getting caught. Even the most desperate criminal wouldnt want to get caught even if the term was only 10 years So what acts as deterrant is not punishment but the capture and conviction rate. If a criminal is 100% sure, he will get caught and convicted, that will act as a better deterrant than a hypothethical capital punishment where his chances of gettting caught, convicted and prosecuted is inifinitely small and it takes over 10 years for the whole process. If criminals could think of long term consequences, they wouldnt be criminals in the first place

Even though I am not in favour of capital punishment but as Kasab has been hanged now , Afzal Guru should be next in the line . I wonder why the GOI is so soft on homegrown terrorists .

Finally. Am so relieved but wont trust Congress Ministers unless I see actual pic of his Body.
Body ? I doubt that they took any pics and within an hour of his hanging he was buried in the Jail itself .

Tukaram Omble - ASI who caught the bastard paki and died of bullet wounds in the process. Tukaram%2BOmble.JPG Anyone still remember him? Bet the p-seculars didn't shed a tear and will be out in a jiffy crying bloody murder regarding capital punishment.
CNN IBN, a channel you've constantly accused of being pseudo-secular/terrorist loving/a congress mouthpiece/a part of the illuminati etc has conferred on him the title "Indian of the year" http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/business/madhavan-nair-team-chandrayan-named-cnn-ibn-indian-of-the-year_100150294.html There is a bust of shaheed ASI Ombale just opposite Ideal Cafe on Chowpatty where he was martyred. On 26th Nov, every year there is a remembrance at Chowpatty in his honour along with a flag hoisting ceremony. All new inductees into the Mumbai Police have to attend this ceremony. The garden outside Fantasy Land is now called the Shaheed Vijay Salaskar udyaan nowadays. Its really wrong to say that people/media and society in general have forgotten the contributions of these brave men. Why the paranoia?

I am also against the death sentence, but in some cases, you just don't have a choice. Terrorists dangerous as long as they are alive. We don't want another Kandhahar and we don't want the media to keep the limelight on him making him famous and a significant recruitment tool for the terrorist organizations.

There won't be any pics. And there should not be. Terrorist organizations are known to use such pics as recruitment tools.
