Trundler27 Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 he gave a more than decent account of himself.... he didn't get flustered one bit and was always on the mark in a tense game.... bowled the odd slower delivery but for the most part kept the ball in a good channel outside off..... he played a key role in ensuring an indian win as even one bowler getting smashed would have been good enough for pak. Taking the new ball and then bowling at the death are two of the toughest things for a bowler let alone a rookie. Thank goodness he had a normal outing as anything else would have created hype orga...ms among ppl
Clarke Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 He bowled well enough so I didn't missed that joke of a jumping jack joker, Dinda.. Hope that Dinda guy never plays any more international matches for India.. Danda can play tontee tontee
Dumbbells Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Come kiss my ass haters. Shammi will do well if he plays. what did I say? come kiss my ass all the haters. :giggle:
express bowling Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Shami showed very good temperament but his basics looked like most Indian team seamers, bowling between 130 k to 140 k, medium movement, often incorrect length -- nothing special here. His clear plus was his wonderful line in his first spell.
jairamesh Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Finally made his debut:yay:, but missed it. hopefully is now a sure starter for England series.
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Shami Ahmed impressed me. Needs to work on his line and length a bit more. Wasn't generating enough movement either. His seam position is superb and he bowls at a good pace . Just keep him away from the MRF Pace academy :nervous:
King Tendulkar Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Very happy with that debut. Good pace at 85mph. Good control as well Suddenly we have promising attck with him, b kumar, ishant, aaron and yadav
Magneto Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Very happy with that debut. Good pace at 85mph. Good control as well Suddenly we have promising attck with him, b kumar, ishant, aaron and yadav Discount Aaron.
King Tendulkar Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Discount Aaron. why? He has great pace etc He impressed when playing for india as well. Just cos injured why discount, he can recover and be back
NareshK Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Great debut. Bowling 135-140 and landing the ball on the seam. Got some movement and some bounce. Good to see him bowl well under pressure and bowl a maiden in the last over. That was crucial in winning the game.
Trichromatic Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Very good performance in his first match. Didn't look nervous at all. You can't ask for more from a player on debut.
King Tendulkar Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 He was super accurate. really exciting stuff. his fluid actions looks suited for long spells with not much loss of wheel.
VRV Singh Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I agree with a lot of the comments. The positives are his easy and rhythmic action which is not contrived and messy like many other Indian seamers. And from the little I saw, his seam was solidly upright. There's good skills to work with for anyone.

vishalvirsingh Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I still feel Dinda and Awana are better and faster than Shammi.......I believe dinda wud have been a Total Success Today had he played instead of Shammi.... Awana is also faster than Shammi as he touches 140 oftern....but Shami is very disciplined and has a Good Seem position. Still awana and Dinda are ahead of Shammi in my Book and Bhuvnesh is ahead of All....

Still awana and Dinda are ahead of Shammi in my Book and Bhuvnesh is ahead of All.... Whenever Shami and Dinda have bowled together and info was available, Shami has been quicker, at times by 4 or 5 k. So we have to watch a bit more. I feel Shami can be quicker than today. Dinda and Awana's pace has been definitely decent. I feel Shami has been lucky s far as impressions about his pace is concerned. Awana and Dinda have been called trundlers even though they went up to 143/ 144 k.
Old guy Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 lmaoooo dinda would have gone for 8 rpo at start...and lost us match before he got chance to bowl his superb phast death bowling
NareshK Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Dinda doesnt get any movement at all and if he had played today would have been completely ineffective. He will always struggle to get top class batsmen out and he could be more of an economical type bowler. Good thing about BK and Shami is they are getting some movement and bowl at a lively pace. So in helpful conditions, they could be wicket taking bowlers.
