India v England in India, ODI bi-lateral series, 2013

I would want Gambhir out as well. Pujara' date=' Rahane, Kohli, Raina, Jadeja all excellent fielders in top 7.[/quote'] +1 Players have to earn their place by performance and not by reputation... In the current setup, unfortunately, there are still some more who are hanging on by their reputation. If Jadeja solves our fifth bowler issues, I would want Yuvi out too for 2015 worldcup

rahane's fc avrg 62.23 & his list A avrg 36.89 may be he is more comfortable with no rr pressure
Opening batsmen shouldnt even worry about RR as there are good hitters and finishers in the lineup unless they are chasing 325+. The important thing is to get the side off to a good start by playing proper cricket shots.

I agree RKT' date=' but all I want to say is, let him be there for a bit longer. Every player should be given a fair run before dumping. We have already lost so many players. Maybe guys like Dinda, need a lot more backing before they eventually start performing.[/quote'] dinda has already got 2-3 series..never for once did he trouble nay one with movement or swing he should carry on playing t20s

Haven't they been using two new balls since the last England series in India? Since then we haven't done badly, 29 ODIs, won 20, lost 9 , best w/l ratio since then. 5-0 vs England, 4-1 vs WI, 4-1 vs SL, 1-2 vs Pak, 2-1 in Asia Cup and 3-4 in CB series. Kohli had carried a non perofrming top order so far, with him suffering loss of form, the top order is now getting exposed consistently http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;orderby=win_loss_ratio;spanmin1=10+oct+2011;spanval1=span;template=results;type=team

I dont think BK, Shami and Ishant will be effective on flat tracks like they are on pitches with some assistance. But I would rather see them learning to bowl in flat conditions than having Vinay Kumar and Dinda who are 'LOI' specialists who struggle to pick wickets in helpful conditions. Wicket taking bowlers will always win matches in ODIs.
Vinay, i can still understand. But dude, check Dinda's Economy rate on flat tracks. He sucks everywhere in ODI's. Maybe can do a job in T20's but that's it.

I did not know that Kohli averages nearly 50 in ODI's .. & Nohit who debuted before him averages a measly 30
That Nohit average is boosted by one good spell in 2011 to. That came after he had gotten like 50 matches averaging 24. He has so much talent for the future, that he never performs in the present.
