Atm I'll even play Gambhir rather than Sehwag.We should give a chance to Dhawan/Mukund along with Vijay for the 3rd & 4th test.

Going by Dhoni's PC after the 2nd test on a question about Sehwag, its more than likely Sehwag will be dropped and Dhawan / Rahane given the next 2 tests.

Sehwag's Record in Test (last 5 games) Its time to try out Rahane, he's got an average of 62 in FC and the temperament needed for Test cricket Vijay/Dhawan are prone to throwing away their wickets and I dont see them being a viable long term partner to Rahane.

Why ignore the first test of Eng series? He scored a 100 in that. But I agree, Shewag has not looked like scoring against the Aussies, even with his glasses. His middle order ambitions has been killed by Dhoni with Jadeja playing as the allrounder. Now his only hope for a middle order berth is Tendlya retiring

He also got out for 0 and 31 against Pakistan in the ODI series between these two test series. He was terrible in Aus and Eng as well and was the main reason along with Gambhir for the series white wash there.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad is fast turning out to be a happy hunting ground for India and a lot of credit has go to pitch curator, P Chandrashekhar. Chandra is not known to wilt under pressure but still delivers pitches that have won acclaim from captains round the world. Hours after India crushed Australia by an innings and 135 runs in just over three days, MS Dhoni and Michael Clarke were unanimous in their view of the 22-yard strip. While the India skipper was obviously thrilled, even his Aussie counterpart could not find too many faults and he instead blamed his batsmen for an insipid show. "I am certainly very satisfied today. Hyderabad has hosted two Test matches in the last seven months and India have won both. For a pitch curator, nothing could be more pleasing than a victory for the home-side," Chandrashekhar told Cricbuzz after the Test. "But again from the curator's point of view, we expect the wicket to play decently and I am sure the experts who observed the wicket closely would have felt the same," he said. The Hyderabad pitch certainly had a lot in it for everyone. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar used the conditions well early on the first day to pick up three crucial wickets while the spinners joined the party not so long after. Despite a stubborn partnership between Clarke and Matthew Wade, the surface still had enough in it for the tweakers to make some impact later in the day. The Aussie pacers found some help as well but they could do no more than seeing off an umimpressive Virender Sehwag and bottling up Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara for a while in the first session of the second day. While the Australian batting caved in, only Clarke and Wade scored half-centuries, India showed it was a great track to bat on with Pujara slamming his second double ton and Vijay notching up a career best score. "As a seasoned curator I reckon the wicket played really well. It did help the spinners in some phases but overall it was a good wicket to bat on. "The batsmen who were a bit patient, were able to perform well. In Australia's first innings, after their early collapse, Clarke and Wade showed just that. The same thing happened with Pujara and Vijay. Those two showed the value of sticking around and look how many they scored at the end. Often in the past when Test matches got over within four days, the international media have torn into pitch curators, accusing them of catering to the Indian spinners. But not this time. The Australian media and the captain were candid enough to admit that the pitch had no devils in it. Clarke confessed it was a sheer lack of application from his batsmen that did them in. "Both the captains spoke to me after the match. As you saw, Dhoni praised my efforts on preparing a good sporting track. That's a big gift for me. "Even Clarke said it was a good pitch and admitted his batsmen could not adapt properly. I would say it has been a good team effort by all of us. The HCA secretary MV Sridhar, Shivbhai and Venkatpathy Raju and the South Zone in-charge co-operated. I thank God no one has said anything bad about the pitch," Chandrashekhar beamed. The veteran pitch curator dismissed suggestions that he was ever under pressure to make pitches that would suit the Indian team. MS Dhoni had wanted rank turners before the Tests against England and the Eden Gardens curator had strong reservations to such requests. There was a right furore across the cricketing fraternity but the Hyderabad man said he worked on what local conditions had to offer. "As far as I am concerned, I have never been given any instructions to prepare a wicket. Here we have seniors with a lot of experience who support us in a big way - I mentioned their names too. Earlier, we used to prepare pitches with back soil and now we mix it with red. "You must have observed it was very hard till last morning - hardly any dust came out. I am very happy with the way the wicket played. I thank the BCCI and HCA for keeping complete faith in me and their constant encouragement," the curator said, with a hint of pride in his voice.
