+1 Better yet ... other boards shouldn't let their players play in IPL ... that would make BCCI poop in their pants.
yeah like the players are going to turn down a lot of money just cause their boards say no.... People need to wake up and smell the coffee. BCCI generates 80% of the revenue in world cricket. Thats going to rise for some time to come. If the BCCI decide to play hardball the IPL will stretch for 6 months and players from across the globe will be lured by much higher pay. Most will dump their national teams.

No ... the rest of the world could boycott India and play amongst themselves ... they will still make money while BCCI loses all of its profits.

So be it' date=' just don't whine about umpiring next time Bucknorgate or something much lesser occurs whether at home or abroad.[/quote'] As if they didn't whine in 2011-12.

Matches are harder to fix with drs.
There has been no evidence in the history of international cricket where an umpire fixed a match. Plus you always seem very proud of Pak's overall record against India without counting the Sharjah matches and the contribution of Shakoor Rana

again, we all know what happened with packer. The bcci will orchestrate a packer on a much larger scale. Unlike the packer series the ipl is making profits. You really need to understand why the ipl further strengthened the hand of the bcci. Cause now they have other avenues of money without having to rely on international cricket. The noc which the countries issues for their players in the IPL will become meaningless pieces of paper.

and about fixing, didnt the england v pak series in 2010 have the DRS and spot fixing still happened? The 2011 ICC cricket world cup had DRS and we had pak fans shouting from the rooftops that the semi match was fixed.

Match fixing not spot fixing.

Selective amnesia of Pak fans. Matches are fixed by Pakis when they lose but still they are proud of their wins in Sharjah. :P

DRS is most needed by Indian umpires so BCCI should be asking for it so their umpires dont get embarrassed every-time they go out
India also doesnt have the best bowling line up. So they need DRS to get more decisions in their favor as with the referral system, it seems umpires give lbw decisions which they otherwise would have given benefit of doubt. If you saw over the last couple of years, lack of DRS hurt India more than other teams they played against.

Why are people whining here? What stopped the other boards from taking a stand against BCCI. If they dont have the guts then whats wrong with BCCI sticking to its stance?
If the other boards are hesitant that doesn't automatically mean that the BCCI is right. Why should the other boards lose out on the money just because one fat obstinate idiot does not want to embrace technology?

No .. and thats not the reason BCCI does not want DRS. DRS is in favor of bowlers and shortens matches ... thereby decreasing ad revenue and BCCI profits.
:cantstop: lahori ?

Did not know Shakoor Rana was umpiring in India where head to head is even more favourable to Pakistan.
