rkt.india Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Vishal Joshi is good too need to wait on Joshi, one good match only.
Lord Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 need to wait on Joshi' date=' one good match only.[/quote'] has a good FC record so far.better average than Rassool in fact not a darter atleast
kubrickian Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Bhajji is not a darter now. In the Irani Cup, he was flighting the ball and bowling a little slower through the air rather than flat. This is how he used to bowl when he was at his best. 400+ wickets shows how good he is.

It is all about being accurate whether slow or fast and vary according to the pitch. Spin bowling has changed. Bowling slow is not the only way to be effective, but mixing the pace with accuracy. Ajmal does the same. Panesar destroyed our batting same way.

Earlier his trajectory used to be flat and down leg side and basically defensive because of playing too much IPL. Now he seems like he has rectified it. Panesar still flighted the ball at that pace and bowled a good line and length in the test series which is what we want to see from Bhajji again.
mastermind1212 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 He is still better than Fatwin' date=' who can't get any wicket nowdays.[/quote'] Yes , harbu is better than fatwin, i dont know , why fatwin thinks himself an oversmart by taking pause in his action. I think he should remember the 2 one by one sixers of Hafeez , hit him towards deep mid wicket. Its not a legal action to give a pause while bowling. :whack:
PBN Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Harbhajan has been steady in the Ranji Trophy especially considering he bowled in pacer friendly conditions the majoritty of the games. No one is saying that he's had a spectacular Ranji but he didn't have a dismal season either. There are still areas of improvement : setting proper fields to optimtize extracting wickets, accuracy, and line. As well, a lot of his deliveries come onto the bat quite well and he needs to mix up it up either in flight/speed to have a floater delivery which stops on the batsman at times. Otherwise, it becomes too predictable for the batsmen.
India-KXIP fan Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Harbhajan definitely has the ability and is now back in form. After Ashwin is dropped Im sure Bhaji can lead India's spin attack and take India to victory. Im sure his Rhiti Sports influence should stop youngsters who would most likely fail from getting in the team before him, so that shouldn't be a problem. Great news for India that Bhaji is back in form, hasn't failed in a Ind-Aus home series yet, he's the star every time. :two_thumbs_up:

shortbread Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 He is just not effective!!! Im not faulting him for not trying or his determination; but the guy is just past it. Our bowling arsenal is weak in all departments, but picking players like him on nostalgic values is simply detrimental. Ojha was definitely the better pick. There will be one or two domestic/practice/1st class games where Bhaji might do well if conditions really suit him, but please dont sacrifice a spot in the Indian team based on these one off miracles, Please.
King Tendulkar Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 bhaji selection is insane. seems reason is so fat cement man could present award for 100 caps to him before game for photo op
nitinbwj Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 bhajji did not bowl a single wicket taking delivery.... :two_thumbs_up:
Jersey #10 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 If Ojha had played instead of Bhajji, we would have been batting by the end of day1. Right we have a dry as a desert pitch with only one spinner. Selection :fail:
Jersey #10 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Harbhojan :--D Whoever comes up with these is a genius :hatsoff:
Number Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Bowling Bhaji! He will pwn your bowlers with bat and will wreck a havoc in the 2nd innings with the ball. :yay: mark my words. :two_thumbs_up:
Dhonuts Dhoni Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Is he going to give our batsmen hyperglycaemia from all of those lollipops he's bowling?
