moniker Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I cried on my sisters wedding' date=' I cried when my Alsatian dog got attacked by loafer dog and got injured badly (My dog was sleeping next to House gate and his legs/feet were outside due to 2 inch gap below gate, this loafer dog came and chewed my dogs feet, my dog cried for hours, he was unable to walk properly for a month). I was so angry that I wanted to kill loafer dog. Even today when I remember that day, my blood boils, a peaceful dog sleeping without any worry or concern gets thrashed with no escape route.[/quote'] Simple. Get a watchman to watch over your watchdog.

SLICKR392 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I try hard no to cry while watching a movie when someones around with me. I hold it tight and get this effing lump on the throat. The last time I cried (hard) was when my 9 month old kitten was bitten to death by the street dogs.

PBN Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Cried for Lion King?:hmmm: I was an adolescent back then and don't recall my eyes being misty.
coffee_rules Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 Cried for Lion King?:hmmm: I was an adolescent back then and don't recall my eyes being misty. I relate to Mufasa dying to my own dad and cry every time I see that movie. I guess that's how people cry when they relate incidents in the movie to their own experiences. Some cry because they are sensitive naturally.

Lord Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I shed a tear or two,but havent cried for a long time, not even at my cousin's sad demise when everyone else was bawling. I guess something seriously wrong with me:((
Laaloo Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I shed a tear or two,but havent cried for a long time, not even at my cousin's sad demise when everyone else was bawling. I guess something seriously wrong with me:(( not really. For some it's natural. For some it's not. I look at everything in perspective of how life would turn out. I wouldn't want anyone to cry when I die. Instead I would hope for them completing whatever I couldn't do in my lifetime.

Ram Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I have set myself 'Never let a tear down your cheek' challenge. To be clear, I think its perfectly normal if people get emotional and their eyes well-up, but if you're a man and an adult to boot, I genuinely feel there should only be 2-3 overpowering circumstances in your life that should actually cry to the point where you have tears rolling down your cheeks. (Just for the record, I actually dont know what those circumstances are. I just picked that number because 2-3 seemed a reasonable number :dontknow:) It is not like I am against people crying. I recognize we are all built differently. But I feel that your ability to hold yourself together in emotionally over-powering situations is a very good indicator of you as a person. The last time I came this close to losing my own challenge was when we won the world cup in 2011... Watching Sachin accomplish one of his lifelong goals, seeing him being held aloft on his shoulder by Yusuf and hearing Virat Kohli say what he said was simply too much for me to restrain. :(( PS; Same with unbridled joy as well. There's probably literally no situation that will make me jump with joy* *- Except when I am high on pot. That just converts me into a 4 yr old.
gaurav92 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Thanks. Just in time for India-Aus series. :cantstop:

I think people should do whatever rocks their boat. Steve Jobs cried all the time while Roger Federer still cries (lose or win :winky: ). I think we can leave it up to the individual.

I think you may have mis-understood my point of view (or) I may not have articulated myself clearly. I am not saying nobody should get emotional about anything. Clearly, there are tons of things that happen in our personal lives and in this world that could pull our emotional rip-cord. However, if you are an adult, you should be able to restrain your emotions and not bawl your eyes out every time something bad happens or go hysterical with joy every time something positive happens.
