Even under Dhoni, matches were we went with 5 bowlers will be a small number. not true, before dada's time we always used to play home game with 5 bowlers. kapil used to bat at 7 followed by 4 bowlers. azhar's time we used to play with three spinners in kumble, raju and Chouhan with two seamers.

So, it is not yet time to stress the team. I hope they make the pitch just like the earlier ones. A slow turner will be ideal. I will be happy with a high-scoring draw. If we must experiment, let us do it after the series is won.

The Ranji matches took place in the early winters and the pacers wrecked havoc. Now, you'd expect the pitches and the conditions to be a bit different i.e worn pitches and especially the change in weather. We might have a pitch like we did against the Aussies a few years back. That wasn't too bad. Btw, over the years, Mohali's much talked about bounce has decreased and these days we see a lot lower bounce, even when compared to Mumbai.

In winter and being in Northern part of India, there could be some moisture on the wicket which could help seamers but generally in other seasons and especially now in Summer, its good for Indian batsmen and spinners. Otherwise, why does India have such a good record on that ground ?

Only real seam friendly track in a test match at Mohali was more than a decade back against NZ when India bundled out at 84. Deon Nash had picked up 6.
