would like to see the worse as well.. 8 back to back overseas loss in the following order 196 runs 319 runs innings & 242 runs innings & 8 runs 122 runs innings & 68 runs innings & 37 runs 298 runs :hysterical: Freaking minnows would have done better job in any part of the history.

So, the best we did in 8 tests was losing by 122 runs. :hatsoff: In most of those matches, we were out of the game by the end of 2nd day. In some cases (I remember Perth) by end of 1st day.

How do you know Fletcher hasn't done anything? Were you in the dressing room with the players? Players should be capable of carrying out the strategies discussed in the dressing room. The Indian team has been poor with out of form players and injured bowlers. Yes it has been bad and I am not defending him but I don't think you can blame Fletcher for India's debacle over the last couple of years. May be I am the only one in the minority on this one, this is a good move given India just may have turned this around with two successive test wins, after the 0-8 drubbing and they were successful in getting rid of everyone excepting Tendulkar (guys like Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag, Harbhajan for most part, Gambhir, Zaheer ofcourse will always remain unfit). Pujara has been a welcome success and so were guys like Jadeja (least expected in Tests, I see a decent success for him in tests), Ashwin, Ojha and to a lesser extent Kohli. Fletcher and his laid back approach will work with this group better than with the older group that were at the dead end of their careers anyway and hopefully time will run out with Tendulkar in Tests as well. Exciting days ahead for Indian cricket team, in general the impact of a coach notwithstanding. Good luck to Duncan!!!

Just look up in the 90's when India toured overseas. You will know what I am talking about. India did not win a test in Australia till 2003/04. We had a record of 7-0 in 8 tests. In the 90's we weren't traveling a lot overseas like we do today. If you think India's 2-1 loss to England is the worst at home, go back to 2000 when South Africa defeated India 2-0, the same year India were drubbed 3-0 by Australia in Australia. That 2-0 is bad because Indian hadn't lost a home series for more than a decade and that team was much stronger than the current Indian team. I can give you more examples. People who had endured a poor Indian team of the 90's and before will not find anything shocking. People who started watching games in the last 10 years will say this is the worst phase.

I've watched all matches of 90's thank you. And no, we never lost 0-8 at a stretch with such huge margins (see vvslaxman's post). One of our worst tours to Aus in 91-92 with a much worse team, we lost 0-4 (out of 5), we almost won in sydney (rain saved Aus), and in another we lost by about 30 runs and Azhar was last man out,, so we had an outside chance to win that as well. Oh btw, if you didn't notice, we went to Eng in 2011 as the #1 team !!

That Indian team was a joke lol inexperienced one. Debang Gandhi series :giggle: . Australia had just blanked Pakistan 0-3 when they took on us. They had much better bowling attack. They rolled out pacy pitch even in Sydney. Real high quality side. I expected 0-2 loss. 0-3 loss not surprising at all.
