What kind of wickets we will get in our next Aus tour or Eng/SA tours ?

1. Do you think India took home advantage to a diff level by preparing pitches where dust was flying on day 1 session 1 and knowing Aus don't even have a half-decent spinner? 2. What kind of wickets do you expect when we tour Aus/England/SA especially Aus ? I think pitches have been relatively flatter when we toured them in 03-04 and 07-08. This time they were more bouncy but our batting should have handled them much better than they did. I am expecting some really nasty pitches coming our way when we go there. :giggle:

Hyderabad and Mohali were not spin friendly pitches at all. Joburg 2006 and Durban 2010 were very difficult pitches as well. The thing is that if India have a bowler like B Kumar and just 1 more good bowler (Yadav, Shami or whoever!) if SA prepare pitches for fast bowlers SA batsmen may struggle as well. This was why we performed well in England 2007, Australia 2007/08 and SA 2010. We had at least one good fast bowler on each tour.

I hope we get green carpets. That way batting becomes a lottery and our Kooomars can manage to get wkts. On a decent pitch which assists pacers and batsmen alike we will be in bigger trouble as we won't have bowlers to take 20 wkts and Steyn/Morkel/Philander will get us out anyways.

Expect green tops. However' date=' if we can get 2 decent fast bowlers, it wont be a whitewash. Fat Zak and Lambu, along with Viru and Gauti, were the reason we lost 4-0.[/quote'] Zak? In England he did get injured but was decent in Australia.

This. Like it became at Kotla. Because of the pitch match was even until Pujara played a masterclass innings.

To be honest.. these pitches were not that horrible except the last one. They played bad. Simple as that.
37.2 Harbhajan Singh to Clarke, no run, beats him now, Clarke leaving the crease again, not to the pitch at all, the ball spun in sharply and hit the pad, sharp puff of dust as the ball pitched, in the second session on day one

Whatever we get, we have already set the benchmark 0-8..can't get any worse..even a drawn match will be a victory..so the youngsters can play for kaanfidence and gain that away experience

Their first innings score were 382, 400 , 237 and 262 how are these dust bowl.Yes they helped spinners mostly but what do you expect. When we go to Australia , England and SA do we expect spinning tracks so why should be it be different when it comes to us.

I think They will prepare Decent wickets in aus,They always have.Regarding SA there will be greentops and england should really not bother.

Only this pitch was a bit poor. All other tracks were decent pitches which certainly had low bounce but it was consistent bounce. It was good for batting for first 3 days but Aussies didnt bat well enough even though they had the advantage of batting first on all 4 occasions where the pitch plays the best. Of course, from 3rd day you expect the ball to misbehave a lot more. When you come to India, you should expect the pitches to help spinners and particularly in summer, where the heat breaks up the pitch a lot more.
