Sean Bradley Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Echoed My Sentiments, I wanna know what has Rohit Sharma done that Pujara hasnt?
kubrickian Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Probably injury. He seemed to have trouble with his knees during the test series. Otherwise, nothing explains his exclusion.
Number Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Echoed My Sentiments' date=' I wanna know what has Rohit Sharma done that Pujara hasnt?[/quote'] Knee.
rkt.india Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 He can still be selected if he gets fit by then and plays a few matches.
Texan Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 He can still be selected if he gets fit by then and plays a few matches. Yes, it is not required that the team must be selected only from probables list.
G_B_ Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 as of now Pujara is injured and the selectors probably have taken stock on his knee and decided its better if he rest. personally i would have him in the side.
Needforspeed Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Pujara's knee needs to be protected. Preserve him for SA. IPL is unavoidable. Hope RCB doesn't get to play in CLT 20.
G_B_ Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I somehow doubt that Pujara will play much ipl. Gayle Dilshan Kohli De villiers there is no room for him in the top 4. Any role at RCB will be a bit part one. which is why i sort of back the selections. For nearly 8 weeks pujara will not be playing much cricket and there is a chance he will be rushed back into the side which can cause further issues.
Lord Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Yes' date=' it is not required that the team must be selected only from probables list.[/quote'] so whats the purpose of naming probables
CG Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 Pujara hopes to return in last week of April Cheteshwar Pujara, the Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman, has said he'll take another two weeks to return to cricket and hopes to play for his side in the IPL in the last week of April. Pujara fractured his index finger during the final Test against Australia in Delhi. "I will take at least two weeks more to return to cricket," Pujara told Indian Express. "When I fractured my finger, during the Delhi Test, physios had advised me that I needed to take at least three-four weeks rest. I hope to be available for RCB by the last week of April but at the same time I don't want to rush things." http://www.espncricinfo.com/blogs/content/current/story/628324.html Champions Trophy Is in june.
SLICKR392 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 That is a probable squad. Might include him after he is confirmed fit.
Pagalpanti Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I'd rather him miss champions trophy than be injured and be out of cricket for a year again like in 2011. He's a key member of our test team. Our ODI team is pretty much settled without him.
kubrickian Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 ESPNcricinfo ✔ @ESPNcricinfo Cheteshwar Pujara omitted from CT probables since he may be leading India A in South Africa at the same time :hmmm: What do you think about this decision ? I thought he would have been handy in English conditions in Champions Trophy because of his technique and temperament.

I thought he would have been handy in English conditions in Champions Trophy because of his technique and temperament. Then why are Vijay/Dhawan part of Champions trophy squad?
saneindian Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Idiots. He was good enough to warm the benches during the Eng ODIs but not good enough for 30 probables. EVen if he is going to lead the A tour, should have been in this list. I suspect we may hear in a day or two that Pujara is unfit and will miss the IPL.
