Rocky Balboa Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Pathetic bowler. Hope the selectors ignore him...
vvvslaxman Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Not based on this. May be he just doesn't care.. who knows.
namasteji1 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 He is returning from injury maybe that's why. Also being an important member of DD wants to play all matches.
vishalvirsingh Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Irfan Is out of form......Actually both pathan"s r playing Bad He shudnt be picked for India
rkt.india Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Not based on this. May be he just doesn't care.. who knows. He needs to care if he wants good auction next year. :giggle:
Switchblade Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 May be he rushed back too soon from injury last year was bowling well
Gunner Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 He's past his best. Shouldn't be picked for tests again.
rajmarie Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 He's past his best. Shouldn't be picked for tests again. This.
Texan Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Seeing his bowling these days, I can't even recognize that this is the same guy who was capable of bowling this ball: gdt3PFngB9o
Lord Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 sadly hes still our best seam allrounder. n we would need one in England n Australia.so unless someone like Dhawan steps he'd continue to be picked
saneindian Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 He's past his best. Shouldn't be picked for tests again. Was never in the running for a test spot. Made a decent comeback to ODIs before injuries derailed him again last year.
Gunner Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Was never in the running for a test spot. Made a decent comeback to ODIs before injuries derailed him again last year. Many want him playing as a Bowling Allrounder in overseas tests.
Crookbond Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Seeing his bowling these days, I can't even recognize that this is the same guy who was capable of bowling this ball: gdt3PFngB9o For the "phaast bowling experts on ICF" - the speed on that ball 134 kmph.
rkt.india Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 For the "phaast bowling experts on ICF" - the speed on that ball 134 kmph. Pathan was never really quick. At his quickest, he was around 135-140. Reverse swing depends more on the ball and 134 is a decent pace if it is accurate and ball is reversing. His bowling action those days suited that kind of reverse swing.

I'm kind of tired explaining this to people. He used to occasionally bowl a ball > 135kmph.
rkt.india Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I'm kind of tired explaining this to people. He used to occasionally bowl a ball > 135kmph. Agree. People are deluded. His strength was always swing at around 130-135. Bowling an odd quick ball doesnt make him quick.
