Abbey ******' date=' Why did the board disallow Rahane to play in the county? :bumsmack:[/quote'] He wasn't eligible as far as I remember.....not enough caps.....

it does not matter if they did or not. (i dont know) but he would not have qualified and the counties would have known it. In this case Lancashire probably went for Munaf due to the large south asian population of Indian pop in the county of Lancashire (manchester and surrounding regions). they do have good t20 batsman so are going for a bowler. Munaf is also somebody who still just about qualifies for the via rules.
People going to pay money to watch Munni play

I think is a good move that the BCCI are issuing NOC's for test cricket abroad. If this report is true. Pujara and Rahane maybe need to try their luck in england.
I got that new from a journalist from Mumbai who talked to Rahane about his county plans but he was not given NOC. Fulfilling or not fulfilling county guidelines is frivolous once NOC is refused.

no offence intended, but i for one dont fully trust the press. The counties themselves are not stupid to go for a player who wont meet visa and ECB's requirements.

BCCI is a moron. They should give green signal to their players to play in county. The very same morons then go to public and keep talking trash like : "Our players cant play overseas"
:WTF: I don't care if they don't allow them for some T20 leagues but denying them to participate in County is disturbing.

Some number of matches for an international side. But that point is moot - BCCI on its part should issue NOC. It is not out there to sort visa problems for country cricket.

Is this a new rule? The likes of Hussey were playing county cricket for years before they even made their international debut.

BCCI is doing the good thing. If they keep sending players everywhere International cricket will die. In any case I will definitely be fine sending our players anywhere exception Ingerland.

Zak became a better bowler only after England tour. He himself said that after his 78 wicket haul in one English season.

Hussey made his international debut in 2004 and was playing county cricket for years before that. There are many more such examples.

Did you read this?
The BCCI's stand has been clear that our players are not allowed to go play in T20 leagues outside India. But we will gladly allow anyone who's interested in playing longer format cricket abroad,"

I was watching there 40 over match the other day and it was horrible. Around 15 wides in 3 overs. 300 runs in 40 overs. They are going to play t20 on flat tracks. We have enough experience :yay:

That is definitely not an Indication of how you judge a cricekt system. You could pick much more mediocre stuffs from internationals as well.
