there I agree with you. I expected big things from him but till now he hasn't lived to the promise. But I had also said that he should open in ODIs and he's doing that now with certain amount of success - lets see what happens next....

The problem with not converting starts is becoming evident. 10 ODIs and half a year into his comeback and good form he averages 33 with a strike rate around 75. Those are pretty average returns whichever way you look at it.

True.... But if Pujara replicates his TEST performance onto the ODI scene, then he would easily negate any negatives that he brings with him. Maybe, Pujara can be integrated into the slips to hide him while he is on the field. Running between wickets would remain an issue as you mentioned.

I have seen Pujara score some very big ODI hundreds last season in first class, he can certainly play and should be included , not in t20 though, Rohit has done reasonably since his comeback but hasn't kicked on from the early success, Mooli and Kartik are in the red.

i love nohit,the guy won me 1000 bucks.. 5 years ago,rather 6 years back in 2007 october,a friend of mine went nuts over the talent of nohit,saying he`s a future legend,experts also say so whereas i never liked that bat lift and lazy technique of nohit ,thus we had a bet of 1k on how he performs 3-4 years down the line.. i said he wont avg 35 in odis,40 in test whereas he said nohit would rock in both the format.. now after almost 5 years later i.e last year ,we met in a mall (coincidently after the lankan odi series) ,he himself reminded me of the bet,gave me 1k and said he now is an ardent nohit hater.. so the morale of the story-- never count of nohit,he can make u win a lot :haha:
