They make the money and move onto something else. Countries like Sri Lanka and West Indies have limited amount of talent, that's why they have players who debut at 21 and retire at 37. They should have over 10,000 tests playing on roads. If Tendulkar was English, he'd have been forced into retirement from tests when he was 32. Excuses more Excuses.. keep them coming

But managing to play for so many years isn't easy. Regardless, it will take quite some time for anyone to score more runs than Tendulkar in ODI/all forms of Cricket combined.

Sorry but England hasnt had a great batsman since Denis Compton. IE, no Englishman under the age of 60 is qualified to talk about great batsmen because you guys simply dont know one and therefore cant produce one. Come back to us when you can get a guy with 50+ average in tests or 40+ average in ODIs after 200+ games. Till then, sit down son. You dont know what you speak of. Englishmen talking about batting is as laughable as englishmen talking about swimming. You guys simply are too crappy to know anything of the topic.

Why is Sachin still in the team? He is afraid that Cook will break his records that's why he is hanging. Cook will get more runs than Tendy after same #of matches because Cook playes more innings/match than Tendy. Tendy IIRC averages 1.63 innings/test while Cook averages 1.77 innings/test. No way is Cook good enough to score as many runs as Tendy in equivalent innings.

That's scary. england plays like atleast 16-17 test matches per year. even at his average, he can overtake everyone provided he still manages his 49 average. however, this ashes will be a serious blow to all Pommies who believe Captain Cook can pass Tendulkar.
