kumar713 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Jadeja will play or am i the only one thinking like this:hmmm:
MCcricket Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Iwould love to see Pankaj Singh on A tour, if he is great then should go to SA, HE IS BETTER THEN iSHANT BY A MILE.
maniac Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Amla and Kallu Mama are our biggest threats....Smith,AB(in tests) dont have a great record against us atleast compared to the other 2.....I am more worried about our rookie batting line up
vvvslaxman Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 You need a bit of pace and swing to upset South Africans. They had the better against both Aussie and England bowlers. Indian fast bowlers are below par compared to them.
surajmal Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Unlucky can't be the third seamer. Also, need to play 6 proper batsmen (plus Dhoni) due to the lack of experience up and down the lineup. Forget the 5th bowler/allrounder in Sir or Pathan. If 4 Indian bowlers can't bowl SA out, 5th won't add any appreciable utility.

He has dismissed him gazillion times.
vvvslaxman Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 As much as i like INdia to beat SA, i frankly don't think we have the resources to upstage them. They are at top of their game. Unless South Africans goes seriously out of form we don't stand a chance.
surajmal Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Maybe Kallis and Smith will be rusty? Hell, age has got to catch up with Kallis at some point.
SLICKR392 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Need few of their batsmen to go through a bad patch, but their bowling can win them any game.
FischerTal Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 i think our batting will be a surprise this time around. a lot of youngsters in the squad now. I dont think there will be any under 200 scores anymore.
vayuu1 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I think siddharth kaul,if picked can be a real threat against saffers, considering he is quicker then bhuvi and swing it both ways.
special K Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 ^ you don't even have a dog in this fight but look here you are butthurt and seeking for consolation by trash-talking the team that walloped your lily-livered asses out of the finals. Whhat a loser I'm just giving a fair analysis. India is a minnow in test cricket. This tour shouldn't happen. Bangladesh deserve an opportunity to be whitewashed. Indians stealing the limelight from their neighbours once again.:cantstop:

carnish Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 To Topple Saffers in tests, there is a simple formula. Score Big. Take wickets at regular intervals. If they do both of those consistently, they will win in South Africa. Its easy said than done but its not that difficult if they really concentrate. Its the same bowlers that we have faced a lot over the last 3-4 years. Morkel and Steyn are not new for Indian batters and only if the Indian batsman apply themselves, they can score big. Once settled, it will be criminal to throw your wicket in the test series and hence a big for Rohit Sharma who is famous for doing this only.
Rocky Balboa Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I would love to see varun and umesh combo. Dhoni would play ashwin no matter how the pitch looks like. Bhuvi could be our third seamer. Jadeja will give the fifth bowling option. Vijay is gonna be a sooper failure . It won't be a bad idea to open our batting with rohit and dhawan. I can't believe sachin is still playing in this team. He will be exposed big time.
Muloghonto Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Jadeja will play or am i the only one thinking like this:hmmm: Depends on what Jadeja the batsman does between now and then methinks. At this point, Rahane has gotto be ahead of Jaddu in batting alone and Dhoni is not foolish enough to bat at six against Steyn,Morkel,Philander. But Jaddu provides the tantalising left arm spin option as well and if he can end up scoring a couple of 50s or so in the tour, he'd be worth his place in the side. My list of probables: Dhawan Vijay Pujara Tendy Kohli Jadeja/Rahane Dhoni Fatwin Bhuvi Zaheer Umesh Zaheer please please please be fit :om::nervous:

Cricket is what we Indians say it is. Not you minority pariahs in your own country. Go back and enjoy two white teams that are priority #5 or worse in their social fabric play some marginal cricket due to nostalgia, that are funded by the BCCI charity program.
kumar713 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Maybe Kallis and Smith will be rusty? Hell' date=' age has got to catch up with Kallis at some point.[/quote'] India will definitely miss zaheer against smith. He will score hundreds in few matches if not in all matches:((
