virufan Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Afridi plundered 76 off 55 and later took 7 wickets to win the match for Pak against WI yesterday. What an unpredictable cricketer!
King Tendulkar Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Booked his place in pak team for next 18 months. This is a curse for pakis. But great for indians
King Tendulkar Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 This is greatest ever comeback in history of game In history of sport you mean
bulbul Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 In history of sport you mean :hmmm: you are right! I think we have to include Video games, consoles etc.
Sean Bradley Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Good for Indian batters whenever we face them next, we are 60/0 in 10 overs before taking the field.
saneindian Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Amazing performance, both with bat and ball. Lala rocks
ravishingravi Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I love the man. There is a certain innocence in his demeanor. I wish him well.
CoverDrive Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 this was a perfect example of what afridi is as a cricketer. every 2-3 years there will be one such superlative series where he will blow everyone away. apart from 2009 T20 World cup recently it has only been in no name series' when very little is at stake. on a consistent basis he has rarely performed especially in big matches. he does not add a lot to the team and he needs his own stage where spotlight has to be only on him. never makes minor consistent contributions. if not for Pak and the poor quality of batsmen they have he would have been lucky to be make so many comebacks.
Hafeez Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 So Lala is back with his Performance Seen most sensible Inning from lala ever on Other hand Shahzad played 1 good short in start of inning Umar akmal Was good with WK and Umar akmal six to Sammy was short of the day (that show how talented Umar akmal is) expecting some Long innings from Shahzad.Jmahsed and Umar akmal (those 3 are very talented batsman,s)
coffee_rules Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Look who's having multiple ones... http://www.espncricinfo.com/blogs/content/story/651607.html But when Shahid Afridi is on song the magic word on everybody's lips is owowwahwowwahwow!
munafbhai Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Look who's having multiple ones... http://www.espncricinfo.com/blogs/content/story/651607.html Abbasi always has multiple ones when Afridi plays well....Unfortunately he has has only few ones all his life:antijinx:
Ram Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Pak cricket is the classic case of the following - For a while, a Pak fans had this delusion that the doping, drug cheat Akhtar could make miraculous comebacks and act as the sole savior of all their ills. Now, it is Afridi’s turn. The whole point of dropping long-timers like Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, Akmal etc from the team was not because of their poor performance, but also to eliminate the rise of alternate power centers within the team. Afridi’s return will almost surely result in the recreation of the Pakistan’s cricket biggest cancer – factionalism inside the team. He’s going to act like he’s a law unto himself. Misbah’s captaincy will be undermined even further and it will all eventually end in total disaster. But hey, if I am Pak fan, who gives a sh!t. As long as I can see someone swinging the wooden club like a maniac and ripping in some rocket throws from mid-wicket for turned to be an easy single, I am satisfied! :yay: Irrespective, as an Indian fan, I aint complaining. Afridi in their team is great news for us. The last time he performed against us, the word ‘tweet’ was used to imply a sound made by a bird. :giggle:
