Zanjeer Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Still 6 months to go for the elections, these things can change dramatically. As a Gujarati, I can say that BJP is sweeping the poll completely. Rest of the states, we would have to wait and watch. 6 months can turn things upside down.

There was and is a Modi wave, and these results have only reinforcement that more. Congress, on the other hand, situation is clear for them, they cannot win it on their own. They will have to look to divide the anti-Congress votes and AAP is great proxy for them in that aspect.

Parties need direct connection with the public and thus social media is a crucial channel. 2. Youth, it will at last have a say in elections. In past, it never played any sort of role in elections but not anymore. The large percentage of turnout is another indicator. 3. Non-politicians, another new arena in Indian politics where seasoned politicians are losing by big margin to first timer(s) non-politicians trying their luck. 4. Value based? Although sample size of Delhi is very small , but a new form of value based politics may be appearing instead of the usual caste, religion stuffs. And given Rahul's comments today, I expect some heavy investment from Congress in social media and thus youths given strong BJP presence there. So expect more Congress bots in social media. And to make Priyanka Gandhi will become the key figure for them instead of Rahul.

At least they are not going to go beyond 130 that is for sure. They will lose 25+ LS seats from these 4 states. Obviously, all 7 from Delhi. I am not sure what Nitish is going to do in that camp now? He just thought that this time around again there will be anti modi wave and people will gather to keep BJP away from delhi in the name of anti-modi agenda. Now with cong totally losing its credibility here, where will Nitish go? :((

As the poll says and the works which did MODI for their peoples definitely gives him a brilliant path to lead the nation.
