Imagine a day-night test with Irfan bowling to Kohli under the lights at Cape Town or Bhuvi bowling te first ball to Nasir at Lord's. Don't let the Ashes kid you. Test attendances are dwindling even in Australia. It's only in England that we see full houses. In England they could have free entry for the first 3000 kids and make tickets 40 pounds each for adults and cheaper for 18-21s. I think you would have packed stadia in England especially if you play the games in Birmingham, London and the likes. Your thoughts: no trolling please. I worry that with people cancelling tests for odis that tests world over are generally in trouble.

Does not make any sense to me. Also there is a massive cost involved hosting a series in a third country. Well BCCI obviously can afford it...but Pakistan is not that quality a team worth the effort.

Test cricket is on its knees. Have spoken to many good cricket in friends. Only India v Pakistan can save it if played in a good environment eg England.

After they way Pakistan repaid the generosity shown by ECB, you gotta be kidding yourself that they are gonna repeat that mistake again. Only place Pakistan can play is UAE and India does not play there. So, bilateral test series is very much a dream. Lol at people who say why discuss politics :haha: Have you been living under a rock. Sports, specially cricket is always affected by politics. Be practical. Just dreaming wont save anything.

I reckon India could host a test series in maybe 2 to 3 years if things dont get worse.

Not sure how tests between the two sides will help 'save test cricket' . All it will do is help fill the coffers of the boards, who would much rather schedule more ODIs and T20s to rake in more money.

Boycott them until they stop the state sponsored killings of indians and do justice against murderes residing in the land of the pure. This killing of innocent indians in state sponsored terrorism has been going on for decades. Look at 1993 attcks on mumbai were over 250 were killed. Man responsible is dawood ibrahim who is living like a hero with vip status in pak. So many attacks, 2008 attacks were just a more recent one. Also still no jutice for the indians murdered in 2008 attcks with hafeez sayed living vip hero status in pak. So even if new to this and only aware of latest attack, still nasty and still no justice. How the hell can we play them in cricket or mix anything with them from actors to businnes when the pak govt/army/intellegence agencies and pak people promote these attacks and then protect the murderers.

It might need to be subsidised by limited overs cricket at times. Any numbers, for instance on the expense vs revenue from the current Ashes tests ?

Most of the time it involves boring draws on flat tracks.
