We are not playing at home much in next one year according to FTP as we will travel to Aus too next winter, traveling to SA and NZ this winter so there is not much time for home season at all and BCCI will continue to bring more such schedules to fulfill the contract. There are a certain days of international cricket required in contract every year.

There are a certain days of international cricket required in contract every year.[/quote'] but how can they make commitments without nay backing ? ftp atleast gives u little idea about what is gonna happen and i guess they buy rights according to it how can there be commitments about somthing which u cant be sure of? not to mention other big teams will never come on short notice and they will always fill it with useless series...

No. Rights are not bought according to FTP. New rights have always been higher valued than the older one and after that, it is BCCI's job to provide enough home cricket for the broadcaster to earn that money. FTP is made by ICC but home boards can make changes according to their convenience. Minimum requirement by ICC is 2 tests, more than that is up to boards.

Warm up games on dustbowls against county teams full of spinners and maybe one medium pacer and the test the test match wickets will be so green you wont be able to test the cut strip from the outfield.

The counties who have bid through the nose for an India test like the Rose/Ageas bowl will need to the game to stretch to 5 days (and have a result on the 5th day) to make a decent profit. I expect 5 day pitches which will be decent for batting with something in it for the seamers. More than India its wear and tear England have to worry about. Your playing 7 tests in the space of nearly 2 months if you consider the back end of the SL tour before hand. The real question you should be asking yourself is what odds on Swann Broad and Anderson playing through all of the tests. Like it or not India come into this series with youthful bowlers Bhuvi Umesh Pandey Ishant all young. Two of your key bowlers are on the wrong side of 30.
