I have sympathy again to all those who died. Again, I don't just have sympathies to those who died in 26/11 but also to the ones who died before and after that. But what's your point here. Why do we leave only cricket players aside? Whats up with allowing singers, actors etc in India and not cricketers. Just answer those basic questions. How will not allowing cricketers pay respect or give shaanti to aatmas of those who died? We didn't play against pakistan at home after Kargil much. Infact we didn't even play much to them unti l2003 world cup match. How did our relationship improved with Pakistan that time? Don't just keep coming out with 26/11 thing. They are two different things. For the respect to those who died, it's better not to mix them with sports like Cricket.
the money might be funding the terrorists indirectly..permitting visas to paki fans might involve people from terrorist group or intelligence services..though this is double standard on the part of GOI and BCCI after playing a series with them 8 months ago edit: so FW being granted visas now :cantstop:..with the elections coming,is this the right decision by GOI

Your govt most of the times will just 'play' it politically more than anything else so will remain a problem for you' date=' yes, fans in general; ones who 'don't care' as well as the ones who don't want any cricketing relation with Pakistan as long as you will keep every bilateral issue connected with cricket, that too ironically most of the times with Cricket ONLY...[/quote'] As i said, there are so many ppl who dont want any connection with your country and people at the same time there are ppl who dont mind that mainly those cricket fans

Pakistan's domestic T20 champions, Faisalabad Wolves have been issued visas to tour India to participate in the qualifying round of the Champions League Twenty20 cricket tournament to begin later this month. "The visa has already been issued. The passports would be handed over as and when they come to collect it at the Indian Embassy in Diplomatic Enclave," an official source said. The Diplomatic Enclave is a heavily guarded premises and one can enter only after numerous permissions and security checks. The team was earlier denied visas on the ground that they faced a security risk in India. It was feared that that if the Wolves made their way up in the tournament, they would be playing at different cities across India and hence security could have been a problem. "As a matter of abundance precaution and caution in terms of safety and security, the government did not give green signal for the cricket team's visit," government sources had said in New Delhi. The Faisalabad team, led by Misbah-ul-Haq, was invited to play in the qualifying round of the CLT20 to be held across different cities of India from September 17 to October 6. The Wolves would play their qualifying matches in Mohali with three other teams, Sunrisers Hyderabad (IPL team), Otago Volts (New Zealand) and Kandurata Maroons (Sri Lanka). The Faisalabad team's participation in the CLT20 was confirmed until the LoC issues arose and that led to tensions between the two countries. The Sialkot Stallions, champions of Pakistan's domestic league last year, had taken part in the qualifying round of the CLT20 which was held in South Africa last year.

How can there be consistency in decisions like these when there is no consistency in bilateral relations ? We are dealing with a country of madmen which has talks one day and then a few days later has soldiers or terrorists from their territory attacking Indian posts and killing Indian soldiers. A country which has terror groups in their soil which sends terrorists to India, kills our countrymen ? How can we engage with them as though everything is fine and continue with cricket tours, bus tours when people from their country are engaging in a war with us ? What is Pak government doing about these terror cells and the list of terrorists and people wanted by India ? Pretty much nothing. Clean up the mess first. Cricket, Bollywood and other miscellaneous stuff comes much later.
Not happening in my life time....10 yrs from now you'll be doing the same post

Yup, I'm sure the funds will be used for more 26/11 type attacks. hope the attack impacts the visa providers and the lobbyists for teh visa

CL is not an ICC event, it's owned by BCCI (50%), CSA and CA (25% each). I hope that answers your query

btw whats the official criteria for CL teams to directly qualify and for those who need to play qualifying round?

How many signals do these people need to understand that they are not welcome in India. Some of them like shoaib akhter have understood it at last.
try and not attend pakistani matches for starters , that might be a signal , indian stadiums are packed when there is a match against pakistan , tickets are sold within hours .Empty stadiums might get the BCCI to rethink .

They did not grant the visa at first, then pakis raised it in foreign ministers' meeting. We keep giving non-existent reasons like security concerns yet either they don't get the clue or are desperate that they wanna come regardless. One can't blame the people for coming to watch and India team for playing them once the visa has been granted by our own gov.
