That basically defeats the purpose of a "national team". This is not some league tournament like IPL where Mumbai born player can go play for Kolkata - which is acceptable. If what you said was valid, USA would have bought out Usain Bolt years ago to represent in the olympics. The whole point of International cricket is to prove that one country has a better team (and therefore players) than the other. What England is doing is defeating this very logic.

Jordan is eligible for playing England through his grandmother. The key point here is that Jordan has played for Barbados - it will amount to poaching since he has represented a different team.

It was a move by USA tennis to get her so (A) weaken the czech team who contested against them in the fed cup (B) win the cup for themselves. Repeat the same for the Davis cup and somebody like Ivan Lendl who got a fast track citizenship to represent USA in the 1988 olympics. Its not just USA who did a lot of underhand things. Even the soviet union liked to have some social engineering. Soviet athletes would end up plying their trade for other eastern bloc countries in order to boost their medal count. Only difference was it has the blessings of the soviets.

yeah but England did that even when they had the power. Somebody like Allan Lamb and Tony Grieg should never have played for England.

German football national team imports most of their team from Poland or Turkey: Gundogan and Ozil are turkish. Klose, Podolski, Schafer, Schneider, Trochowski are all Polish France national teams greatest players are from either Senegal, Algeria, ghana like Desailly Hell even all blacks entire front row are pacific islanders.

They are as German as Ravi Bopara and Michael Carberry are English. Klose was born in Poland, his dad was playing professional football there at the time. Moved to Germany when he was 8. Podolski has lived in Germany since he was 2. Trochowski has lived in Germany since he was 5. Desailly moved to France when he was 4. England's poaching is on a different level, the players they poach are normally well into their teens until they come to England.

I don't think so. Only Kemar Roach is one who we can call better and he bowled really well for his debut match and that too against the likes of Watson, Clark, and Finch. He gave good account of him yesterday. He was hurrying Watson a few times, was clocked over 91 mph, but still the fastest bowler in England is left armer Tymal Mills who himself is of Caribbean origin but essentially an English born.
