msb1991 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Yeah' date=' he is. At best, he can go 125-130. Promising bowlers like Ajay Yadav and Murasingh not getting chances.[/quote'] His last over has explained why he took so many wickets, I guess. He has the ability to swing the new ball both ways.

msb1991 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Yeah. He is very much a taller version of BK with less pace. Similar action. It is so valuable to have such great control of swing. It is a shame that he appears to be uninterested in bowling a bit quicker. He doesn't look like he is exerting himself with run-up or follow through. If he could bowl at 130kph with those skills, he could find himself in international reckoning. His record looks very good. Dinda looking decent. Nothing spectacular but bowling a good line and looking to swing the ball at 130-135kph.

msb1991 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 That is what I had noticed too when I first saw him. He is a tall guy around 6'2". Yes. If he was going for it reasonably hard and bowling 120kph, that is nothing noteworthy. I could try as hard as I want and I wouldn't be able to reach 120kph. The point is that it looks like he could easily bowl at least 5kph quicker. Maybe he cannot swing the ball when he does that or does not bowl as accurately. If so, it is fair enough that he bowls at his most effective speed. Would be interesting to know if this was the case.

They could have played 3 semers on this pitch, has good bounce and ball is moving too but Mohanty is too slow to trouble good batsmen even with his swing and Dinda is a very limited bowler, has bowled well though.
zaqw222222 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Central Zone all out for 209. Interesting to see how Umesh bowls, we need him in good rhythm for WI series
rkt.india Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 good 50 by Unmukt on a pitch which has something in it for seamers initially.
Lord Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 good 50 by Unmukt on a pitch which has something in it for seamers initially. how did Jiwanjot do if you watched?not a big score but Cricinfo says he got a gem from Dinda.
rkt.india Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 how did Jiwanjot do if you watched?not a big score but Cricinfo says he got a gem from Dinda. yeah. He got a good ball from Dinda. He was batting well until that time though did watch whole of the innings. EZ only playing 2 seamers and one out of them is Mohanty. :wall:
zaqw222222 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Good start by South Zone. 34/0 in 11 overs http://www.bcci.tv/bcci/bccitv/community/domesticresult/livescorecard/1824
FischerTal Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 yadav really needs to be preserved for tests
MCcricket Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 How can the selectors and captain for zonal teams pick these jokers as seamers , Basanty opening the bowling at 115 k per hour lol, Dinda at around 130, why not promising bowlers, just takes the fun out of watching these games
rkt.india Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 How can the selectors and captain for zonal teams pick these jokers as seamers ' date=' Basanty opening the bowling at 115 k per hour lol, Dinda at around 130,[b'] why not promising bowlers, just takes the fun out of watching these games This is the reason I watch these games, to see promising cricketers, batsmen or bowlers, but this match from East bowling POV proved useless. Selection of Basanty is farce. Dinda at least bowled well but east zone bowlers like Ajay Yadav, Rahul Shukla, Manishankar Murasingh, Jaskaran Singh left arm seamer form Jharkhand could have been benefited more from such games. Look at North zone, they Mohit, Kaul, Dhawan and still missing Sandeep, Suyal, Awana, and Ramdayal. One-two matches are too less for such a tournament where you see best of the zones.

He has been prolific domestically and has bowled at 140kph and crucially, he swings the ball. Swing is a skill which can get you wickets anywhere. Dinda is probably not Test standard, but he is definitely zonal standard, imo.
India-KXIP fan Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 How did Mandeep play rkt? 40 not out right now returning from injury. Mohit Sharma is in north zone :hmmm: Can be considered for RISS if he shows talent.
coffee_rules Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Another failure for KL Rahul. He has been overwhelmed by the fast track promotion maybe. He failed in A matches as well as DT now. He was touted to be the next Dravid from Karnataka.
