Greatest Indian test batsman esp abroad. One of the best and most improved ODI batters. Very underrated finisher. Had fair share of his achievements as captain. One of the best human being and role model to the core. He became a personal hero when he denied double century to Sachin in favour if team interest. It was landmark shift in sub continental cricket mentality.

Great batsman and great role model.

The unsung hero of Indian cricket, the backbone of Indian middle-order for 15+ years, we the humble fans of ICF salute your service to Mother India. Thank you Sir, its been a pleasure to be a witness to your career Goodbye and all the best with your future endeavours in life. :sniffle: :bye:
One question to OP, how can a person considered by most fans/critics as second best Test Batsman of all time from subcontinent be called as unsung hero. He is all over in media, he has a huge fan following has been captain of Indian Cricket team for quite a good time. How is he an unsung hero? What is more needed, give him Paramveer Chakra?

Second best test batsman from subcontinent is Tendulkar, after Gavaskar.

A close difference between being obscure and unsung. SRT used the word 'unsung' with valid reasons during RD's retirement from Int. cricket. It was during his post retirement and SRT's recent down fall, that he got more credits than he used to. Most of his recent fans are just masquerading themselves to be one to get back at Sachin.
