Shastri criticized Watson once when he bowled a short ball. Similarly, Ashwin was criticized more than once by Bhogle.

Nope. He wasn't. Haydos was just talking about how special Kohli was. Australian bowled short of a length and were too predictable with their field which only Ganguly pointed out.

Not really critical. He was just saying Watto has been taken to the cleaners which is more an observation than anything. Yeah it was a great innings but every single shot even for Rohit it was magical. Use it 3-4 times not every single boundary. :haha:

Nope indian comms are not being critical of indian players. The odd statemet that all bowlers are too short is not anything They never indulge in proper talk on team selction, thoughts on players being dropped and who come in. THEY ALSO NEVER NOW talk about poor field placing, poor bowling changes etc etc i.e never a word against dhonis tactics. Dhonis tactics must be always be spot on it seems!! Kohli bowls and they never say WTF like we all do:hysterical: Its so obvious. They odd mild comment every 2 hours is hardly proving they are indepdent and objective speakers. I could be wrong but the voice you hear of Shastri could very well just be an automated response you get to hear on the IVR (Interactive voice response) systems. After all, you only get to hear the same repeated 10-11 lines. Gavaskar is a stats ***** who gets an orgasm every time a batsmen nears a milestone. Bhogle is a motor-mouth who still cannot believe someone handed him a mike in front on an audience of 50 million. Sivaramakrishnan is probably there only because of his shameless 'That's a Karbonn Kamal catch' shreiks, or because there is a implict southie quota. Many are missing the point. Its not about wether their cricket views by comms is correct or not. Wether you like their style or not. they are hardly brainwashing people. Even if your point about censoring them on Dhoni, selection etc is true. I see them keeping quiet when say MSD is having a bad day. keeping quiet about an issue is not brainwashing.

Comm should be ripping in to fact that Ishant and vinnay playing, that no changes, why no Yadav etc OK not ripping for the light hearted but still give opinion that team is wrong.
