Raina and jadeja cant save their lives against bounce and would be cannon fodder against fast bowlers on australian pitches,we need to have backups ,you cant have two guys hopping around.

Raina,Yuvi and Jadeja all great hitters but seem suspect against quality bowling,I think a stable middle order bat like Pujara or Rayudu would serve us well in Aus

Even Dale Steyn sucks in this format of the game. Almost anybody can hit anoybody these days.

Jadeja can get in team on bowling and fieleding alone The fact he can sporadically contribute with bat is bonus Raina cant bat 4, has to bat 6 and have a slog

Not against a half-decent bowler....And I still maintain Jadeja has been our best bowler followed by Bhuvan in our recent succeses.His batting is not better than Aswin....You cant compare him with Dhoni and Yuvi who are leagues ahead of him as hitters

Okay he is not as great a hitter like the others but still can get the job done.And his batting is improving he's what 23?

Yuvraj, Raina and Jadeja will do a great job on flat tracks which most ODIs are played on. But on pitches with bounce or movement or even when there is turn, they will struggle. There is a reason why these guys haven't scored well in tests because you need technique and temperament to do well in that format which these guys don't have and you need the same when you play in conditions which are helpful for bowlers in ODIs too. When the pitch has assistance for bowlers, you can count out Yuvi, Raina from scoring runs. Jadeja is an excellent fielder and can bowl a tight line and length and can hit some quick runs at the end. So he is worth having in the side in ODIs. We need more solidity in the middle order though. One of Raina or Yuvraj has to make way for Pujara or someone else who has good technique or temperament.

I hope you did watch these two matches in CT. This shows jaddu can hit any bowler. But I doubt team management thinks like that. Top 4 must be proper batsmen.

Or even Rahane who is also a very good fielder. He has done well in longer format in domestic cricket as well as in IPL on Jaipur pitch which has assisted seamers.
