fineleg Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 What now? How do we salvage the series? :sherlock: Lets get this Square turner from ball1 Get Mishy and Ashwin and Jaddu unleashed
saneindian Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Wickets which have at least some turn. We had plenty of those in the last 2-3 years for Home ODIs. None of the 4 pitches in the series so far have had any help for spinners, seamers at least have had some swig and seam with the new ball.
fineleg Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Doherty would be all over us if we cannot handle doherty...........
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I agree...we need more spin, these inexperienced Aussies will piss themselves
diga Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 next match at Ranchi.. another high scoring game :wall:
StriKe Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Hope it doesn't happen...Ishant and Legend needs to be whacked more if they get picked for 4th ODI.
rkt.india Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 We always struggle when spinners are blunted. We won in England CT because pitches were uncharacteristically dry and helped spinners. This was the first time I had seen pitches in England helping spinners so much. Still remember how not a single ball turned in 2011 England tour for Indian spinners.
Number Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I would rather lose this jamodi series on bouncy tracks than win over turners or pattas. At least some of our ftbs will be exposed.
NareshK Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 If we chase, we will have 90 % chance of winning. If we bat first, we have to score 30 runs more than par because of poor death bowling. On yesterday's pitch, we should have scored 325-330. I have to say bowlers did a decent job yesterday till they messed up at the end but we have come to expect that now.
King Tendulkar Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 India lose and so it happens. Its wrist slitters paradise So who appears after yonks in excile? Fineleg. She cant stop spamming the board with threads and posts now India is losing!!! Lets hope we win next game and series as then finey will go in hiberantion again

Mindset is generally very negative and defeatist here. But then again, Internet itself is a very negative and depressing place where mostly outcasts and losers hang out and spill out their anxieties and frustrations. :winky:
G_B_ Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Most certainly not The pitch at Mohali and Pune are closest to the ones we will get in the world cup. I expect pitches there to be 280 pitches with something in them for the pacers for the first 20 and plenty of bounce and carry. The fact is its better we are exposed now than in the world cup. The key issue for me -- Raina is not a number 4 batsman on pitches with something in them for the pacers -- On pitches bounce and some seam India cannot afford to play both Ashwin and Sir. Need a seaming all rounder and considering Irfan is always injured we need to look at Rishi Dhavan for balance. - Obviously the bowling. Try people out. Again as i mentioned, Rishi Dhawan, Unadkat, Mohit etc. India need to keep searching for 4-5 limited overs bowlers. - Ashwin himself is not doing too well. Again try people out Other things to watch out for is the form of Yuvi. But not that concerned about him right now. I suggest that Dhoni come in at 4 on such pitches. He seems to be a back foot player capable of handling bouncers. Lets be frank. Number 1 in the ODIs and even T20s has never mattered. Lets not go into our shell. We should have won that match yesterday but Ishant Sharma's freak over happened.
putrevus Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 No need to any turners at all this series, we need to identify who the fricking bowlers are this series and not the fricking passengers who are in team just to make numbers. If This team does not get its fast bowling options right they are going to be whipped on their away tours. This losss in the pitcure is not bad all if it shows door to both Ishant and Vinay.
moniker Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I would rather lose this jamodi series on bouncy tracks than win over turners or pattas. At least some of our ftbs will be exposed. Rank turner != flat track Our ftbs failed against panesar, remember?
putrevus Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Rank turner != flat track Our ftbs failed against panesar, remember? that is harsh, you had walking wickets like gambhir, sehwag , yuvraj and tendulkar those guys are done flat track or not they were going to fail. Once Pujara got out in that series it was bye bye India's chances of making big score you cannot win anything like that, Dhoni after his chennai double hundred has taken his batting to new level but he was putrid then.
Pagalpanti Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Turner isn't a good choice as it would make toss very important as dew would pretty much kill the chance for team bowling second. And if Dhoni's luck with toss is anything to go by, we better not try it.
