Linux_Mj Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 1,000,000 US Dollar(s) = 130,374,000 Sri Lanka Rupee(s) :omg:
Cricketics Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Yes that day was just amazing. I used to work for an Indian S/W MNC, and we had status calls with client every evening. We all hated it that this game was on a working day, we let the client know that this game was very important to us and told them we will send status through email. The game had already started when I was on the way back to home. It had to be one of the longest bus rides back home.. filled with anxiety and nervousness :nervous::nervous: Yeah, it was a different feeling really that day. The whole build up made it more interesting and one for the lifetime. I haven't felt more relieved after a game then I did after that. I mean, I was very relieved after the final too as we had finally won and my dream was finally fulfilled to see team lift the cup, but the moment of beating pak in semis, or not losing to pak in such a crucial game at home, in a world cup semi, was EPIC. WILL REMAIN EPIC. I m sure, we will meet them again in future in world events and probably in knock out rounds too in those world events. It will be similar moments, but nothing will better that 2011 semi final.
BlueBee Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Their reputation as chokers :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:
Cricketics Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 The feeling Aussies had some years back. Feel in a way proud to be an Indian fan when other nations want us to fail. Yep. Embrace the hate :)
Cricketics Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Shami kabab vs Mohit Chaat bhandaar. Hard to pick :)
gakgupta Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 for a leggie to be successful in the world cricket....attitude is very important....couple of sixers shouldn't rattle you.....and more often than not ..u r likely to bowl a bad delivery....
I6MTW Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Now, they will try their best to win, in order to get the money, only in the end to find out that the money was just a pretense to get them to win. That is, if they win.
bulbul Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Clever SLC , they didn't mentioned it's Zimbabwe dollars :giggle:
jf1gp_1 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 for me personally the biggest game was 03 final. Aussies were defending champs , No 1 side, impossible team to beat; we had a young side were playing great cricket. 11 semi game against Pak was bigger than the final for me. I was far more confident of a win against SL than Pak. Even though we had history on our side Pakis are psychos only god knows which side would have turned up. Yes i would like us to win today but loss wont be such a big deal.
Texy Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 It wouldn't have been half as much fun as it was without ICFers in 2011 and the same can be said about today also. :isalute:
adi B Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 no ,the feeling is not 1 even 10% of april 2 2011 sunday morning.that day was something else, moreso was the match against pak
Sidhoni Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Personally for me the morning of 2 April was more tense than 30 March in 2011.
Pagalpanti Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Nothing can beat the hype and build up to Indo-Pak SF, it was just something else.
Dil Dil India Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 TBH most of the cricketing world is not gonna care much about this match. Pakistani fans certainly will. The ICC Trophy count is already 5-2. Imagine if India win this, they'll have won thrice as many ICC tournaments as the neighbours. The importance of the t20 WC which was at an all time low in some places from 2007 to 2009 and at an all time high in 2009 will hinge on whether or not India win here. You can bet they will be watching closely. India fans and Sri Lankan fans will be watching too for obvious reasons. That is easily 'most of the cricketing world'. It is all well and good to be a bitter troll but the circumstances have to be right. When you are trolling around when your team hasn't won a test series in 2 years, a major ICC ODI trophy since 1992 and the rival team has won more ICC trophies since 2007 than you have in your entire history, then it is just stupid.
adi B Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 True....Pak game was intensely fun...in all excitement' date=' I even hugged the hot desi girl in our group and she didn't even mind :giggle:[/quote'] whoa!!u acted like a paki supporter (hugging),lagey hatho chumma bhi lelete :giggle:
Switchblade Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 The celebrations at India gate and all over Delhi were amazing can't we go back to that day and live it all over again :two_thumbs_up:
