Should T20 game be only over-30s?

Well, ideas are getting more dumber each day. Instead of saving the tests formats , we get more nonsense against T20s. T20s deserve more respect and certainly a great format. Test cricket has its own faults, and better to react to that.

this is actually very dumb idea and i hate ipl and bcci with all passion
You are perhaps right cabby, but I am desperate. Anything to keep budding youngsters away from this nonsense of ipl etc.

You are perhaps right cabby' date=' but I am desperate. Anything to keep budding youngsters away from this nonsense of ipl etc.[/quote'] this is not a solution and ipl does not seems to be interfering with youngsters TBH.. most of them are still striving to perform in ranji cos ultimately one good thing bcci did is not give ipl priority while selecting teams for longer formats. this ipl is good for youngsters to get money and honestly will motivate them to get fitter and perform even in this circus format but it is still cricket and they do get to play with best in world and learn few things . now why it is bad idea? first of all income from young cricketers would be gone and now they will be forced to play only one format and only 15 lucky players will make national team and only these guys will get money and fame..sounds to me lot of cricketers will actually get out of cricket instead of being motivated for test cricket. not to mention the obvious problem of why making any sort of competition age restrictive? so during peak years you are asking cricketers to concentrate on t20 .? whole idea is flawed at so many levels and worst part it wont stop young cricketers from becoming sloggers :winky:

what i will do is simply just keep selecting team based on ranji and list a matches (also a tours ). i honestly do not blame technique of batsmen on t20..i used to but as i have noticed lately good players with good technique will score regardless of format and we will still keep producing such players and we always had players who were sitting ducks in tests like raina and yuvraj ,even before ipl was created.

as people rightly have said. more focus on making tests more marketable. Day and night tests should be the focus rather than these crack pot schemes. I am sure if somebody does try them and it works even the BCCI will pick up on it. Remember that BCCI were dead opposed to T20 cricket. Then World cup 2007 happened.

Why stop with Cricket. Lets put a salary limit on all vocations. Let Software engineers in their 20's get no more than a minimum wage. It will help them to build character and learn the plights of fast food workers. The anti-T20 brigade becomes stupider with every idea. If test cricket is dying, instead of stimulating that, the ideas are always to restrict the other formats.

this notion that IPL or t20 destroys young batsmen is ridiculous, good batsmen will be good batsmen in every format. Just because some idiot from Australia says it is bad for young players, it does not become bad.

Dumb idea and OP agrees with it. Over 30s only:hysterical: Afridi will suddenly get new birth certificate and claim he is 55 in his pursuit of IPL contract!!
Why should he do that when he's already 33 and over 30? :dontknow:
