Got a great technique and can play aggressively as well when required. A perfect no.4 batsman specially in Indian ODI batting line up where all of them are stroke players. With most of the tours this year are overseas, I don't see an out of form Yuvraj will make much of an impact. So do you see Pujara in ODI's and play a similar role Dravid played for India?

Its a crime that he is not in ODI side. His List A average is 50 and can score quickly in limited overs. A batsman like him can score against good bowling attacks in tough conditions because of his technique and temperament which others cant. Forget Rayudu. He is not in the same league. Fielding is not a big issue as long as he is not in a key fielding position.

They didnt become inconsistent in tests just because they played ODIs. As for fitness, its up to the individual to decide if they can play and remain injury free. Pujara so far has shown he is fit as he has capacity to bat for long hours. His only problem is he is not quick on the field but that can be managed.

He has got to play in the ODI side - at least given a long run. Don't think he will fail.

Pujara needs to be in the scheme of things surely in ODIs. With the world cup not far away and in Australia, ODIs are not just tamasha matches now. We need a technically sound batsman at no.4. Pujara is the best choice for this spot and he can be rotated with Rahane if injury is an issue. Pujara's knee is quite o.k now though. Rayudu is an unproven element at the top level and cannot really be an option before the high quality Pujara.

I hope we pick Pujara in selective series where the ball swings and seams around and having two new balls is a huge advantage.

It's a no brainer. No team has ever kept it's best test player out of it's ODI team. You always need an anchor and Pujara can score at a reasonably good rate as well.

I think rayudu deserves a long rope and a look at before pujara. We have a long overseas test schedule so its better if he performs there and goes on A tours. Rayudu, manoj tiwary are the number 4 batsmen before pujara. Rather have a test specialist

Raina, Jadeja, Yuvraj will struggle against good bowling attacks especially if the conditions are even slightly in favor for bowlers. Make no mistake about that. I have seen enough of them to know they dont have good technique. I'm not too sure about Rayudu or M Tiwary but I have to see more of them. We need solid batsmen in middle order who can do well in such scenarios. A batsman like Pujara who has good technique and temperament is as good as gold even in ODI format.
