Raina, Yuvraj got so many chances despite being very mediocre at Test level and this guy was kept on the bench all along. Have to salute his mental toughness too to tide through that period. And when he got picked, he was promptly dropped after just one match. Durban, Wellington and now Lords! I really don't want to jinx him, but he is turning out to be our warrior in the most difficult of away conditions.

That was in 2010-12 where he would have been too young for test cricket anyway. If he had been played when he was too raw, he could have failed and that would have hurt his confidence and career. Someone like Badrinath or someone who was doing well in FC could have been selected instead of them. Biggest mistake of selectors is selecting a player for tests just because they are doing well in ODIs. This should not be repeated again.

Absolutely Mesmerized by Rahane's skill and temperament in the last few series :two_thumbs_up: People focusing their energies too much on the negative analysis-DHoni,Rohit,Kohli,Chepu etc. but no one is talking about Rahane's phenomenal rise to be our batting mainstay I think Rahane's is the one for the long run...the guy is the real deal :hatsoff: I think enough sample size to say he is the ONE.....Vijay,Kohli etc have had some inconsistencies in the past or present but this guy is there to stay
