Yusuf Pathan had a good Ranji season with the ball, but he's a terrible "bowler" in the international scene. His batting has definitely fallen away somewhat in Ranjis, and more so in the IPL. Still, for want of any better all-rounders, he might merit selection - Jaddu can't score quick enough in T20s and should play as a pure bowler.

He averaged like 15 in 7 matches with 24 wickets. Leading wicket taker for baroda.. It is not like Ashwin is doing great job with his off spin in limited overs. If he can do the job he can be an X factor.

But Yusuf has hardly bowled in ODIs and T20s, and his record is very unimpressive too. Having said that, this Ranji season was Yusuf's best with the ball. And the Bangla pitches should suit him, with both bat and ball. He deserves a chance, perhaps?

Agree...Dhawan,Rohit,Kohli,Yuvi,Raina,Dhoni,Jadeja forms a destructive t20 line up in sc conditions with Rahane & Rayudu in the reserves but then our bowling :giggle:
ShebbySB Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Ashwin should not be picked in t20s,I'll pick Rahul Sharma & Nadeem in stead. For seamers I'll pick Shami,BK,Aaron & Dhawal but selectors will pick Ashwin,Mishra & Ishant in place of Rahul,Nadeem & Kulkarni.

Keeping in mind it's in Bangladesh, so spinners might come into play. Spinners get lot of wickets in twenty20.

Ishant would jump onto them None of our bowlers know how to regularly pick wickets in T20, so I will not mock the wickets Bala and Dinda have taken in T20Is for India.

So i would pick shami, bhuvi (new ball), aaron and either kulkarni if fit, or yadav. But india will pick the death bowling specialist AKA Vinay Kumar :wall: Ashwin is poor in t20s, will just pause his way to a loss. Might as well pick more suitable spinners. Pick 2 from: jadeja, Mishra, nadeem, rahul sharma, tambe. Now tambe is 40ish, so dhoni wont pick him for fielding but can be a good option for wicket taking. My picks would be mishra and jadeja.

Kuch bhi Dhoni and Ashwin need to go out, pick pacier Aaron and Umesh and give a chance to Rahul Sharma My T20 team is - Dhawan, Kohli ©, Raina, Rohit, Yuvraj,, Rayudu (wk), Jaddu, Rahul Sharma, Aaron, Umesh, Bhuvi i agree,dhoni and ashwin need to be kicked out..i'd make nohit the captain,add shami as well coz he can bowl the yorker
